A personal hello on my vacation trip

Hi All,
I am planning to go on vaccation with my girlfriend this summer
through southern Europe with my camper van.

We will probably visit Germany, Switzerland, France and Spain
and I would like to have a short visit to my fellow overunity friends
in these countries and we can meet then and have a good talk about
the new technologies and maybe you can also show me your new
"toys" you are working on, if you wish so.

Anyway, I would be glad to meet you on my trip and have a nice
conversation.

Good for you to hang out with like minded people. The oU community is much more an island ground than a continent. This keeps information too spread out, and inspitational sparks from landing in the ocean.

Probably not this year, but I would like to go to the UK and also visit the Scottish Highlands,
maybe next year.
This year we will go through southern Germany to Southern France and Spain by camper van.

I finally have an Orange Mobicarte Simcard with the Internet Max flatrate. Nice HSDPA speed on my PDA directly at the beach. Files can be downloaded on the phone from 2 to 7Mbits/sec.. Wireless technology finally has caught up..

But don't go to England next year Stefan - come to Africa.  I have a few spare rooms and am sure we could find somewhere for you you both to sleep.  That way I could show you both the beautiful Cape AND bore you to tears with our experiments. 

And my son has shares in game farms and such like - if you're into that sort of thing.  Lots to see here Stefan.

P.S: Unfortunately no Joule Thief with me,
had too much to prepare with the van before the vaccation,
but a solar lamp and my
mobile home van also runs on plant oil, although here in France
gazoil at the gas-station is almost cheaper than plant oil in the Intermarche
supermarket..

In Germany we get plant oil in the supermarket at Lidl or Aldi
for around 95 cents a liter and here it is around 1.20 Euros.
Gazoil is around 1.13 to 1.25 Euros a Liter here right now.

Hi,
I managed to install a plugin for my mobile phone, so I can instantly upload also pictures to my ew Flickr account over here:

Now I just snap photos with the mobile phone camera in 1600*1200 res and they are instantly uploaded in the background, when I have a good Internet connection.
In this moment I only have a slow GPRS link, so not many new videos for the moment.
