Hey people-

I found this very interesting channel on youtube- it's been around for a while but haven't seen it mentioned here before-

He can make the contours of magnetic flux more visible than I have ever seen before...

Seeing is believing.  When they are able to see the field in 3D, including flux string polarity interactions.....it shouldn't be long until a 'eureka' moment occurs.

In light of these amazing studies, we've got to hand old Howard Johnson more props....he glimpsed further than anyone of his day, into the magnificent and mysterious structure of magnetic fields.
