Moses did great things
« on: January 13, 2009, 11:21:25 AM »
I find it interesting to note that the first four books of the bible are believed to be written by Moses (a self confessed murderer).

Moses was a very influential leader. He inspired thousands to follow the word of the lord. It is a testament to his greatness that he inspired his young followers to kill their elders if they opposed his leadership. It is a further testament to him that his followers killed hundred of thousands of men, women, children and animals and espoused them self's as righteous. Genocide is indeed what he is known for. A great genocide is his reputation. Therefore his reputation is of doing a greatness.

Greatness or Grateness? That is a question!

So what?

Moses was only following in the footsteps of his repugnant little murderous deity, Yahweh. You want to blame somebody blame that diseased pool of vomit.

G'day all,

First of all Moses is supposed to have written 5 books not 4. The collection of those books is called the Torah or Pentateuch, whose names in English are Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.

Jewish religious tradition ascribes authorship of the Torah to Moses through a process of divine inspiration. This view of Mosaic authorship is first found explicitly expressed in the Talmud, dating from the 3rd to the 6th centuries AD, and is based on textual analysis of passages in the Torah and the subsequent books of the Hebrew Bible.

On closer examination these so called scriptures, especially Genesis, are mainly based on the Gilagamesh Epos which is Millennia older and of Sumerian origin. If you want to read the story of Noah and his ark, the Gilgamesh Epos gives a fair account except the hero of the story is anything but Jewish.

Even your revered Yahweh is a Johnny come lately in the scheme of things.

Besides, does not Yahweh allegedly tell Moses that the first command is "Thou shalt not have any other gods before me"?

Here in fact the so called Almighty acknowledges he has competition in the God business.

The whole thing is nonsense and better stayed away from.

What I always find peculiar the "burnt offering".
Maybe Yahweh enjoyed a good barbi.

yahweh... psychotic, and more. to quote one of my favorite authors on the subject "arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully." -richard dawkins (the god delusion)

"When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called religion." -robert pirsig (zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance)

so moses is really no surprise, yahweh wants religious nuts not spiritual fruits.

Mr. Dawkins, is too kind.

Humans lost their humanity the day they created Yahweh. For centuries we have worshiped the lowest and darkest shit infested corner of our own minds. It has cost us dearly. More than we will ever know.......and I am being too kind.

A big eye opener is the part where some guy asks Moses "are we there yet"...after decades of wandering the desert looking for the 'promised land'.

According to the bible 'God' reacted to the question by wiping the guy off the face of the earth...and not only that wiped out his whole family - mafia style.

Those are the actions of a mafia don...and not any 'God' that I would follow, let alone 'worship'.

And why would a 'God' need to be worshiped...does that come of as being insecure ?

No insecure deities wanted here.

These bible tales of 'smiting' are designed to suppress the free will of humans...nothing more.

There are lots of helpful hints about life also found in the bible...but this 'God' business is likely derived from the alien visitation not so cryptically described in various passages and depicted on cave walls.

Regards...

  @Cap

    Funny I just posted below about some poor guy they been dumping rainmaker chemicals on for a couple of years now.

       If you live in a farming area there has been pilot programs operated by governments to influence weather change.   Scientists have finally got the attention of the powertrip insane leaders that there aint gonna be no food if  the sunspots they predict to emerge (and are doing so)  turns the wheatbelt into the Sahara.  These sunspots emerge from the solar interior on an 11year basis like clockwork.  Expect in the coming months emps blackouts aurora borealis events lighting skies down into the tropics.   This is gonna be some fuckedup shit.  That combined with the shortage of food and moneylenders getting the finger is gonna make it one hell of a hot summer.  Fucking powermongers gonna use atrological shit just like they used to back in the day when the chiefs would talk to the medicine man who while tripping on peyote figured out when the moon would cast a shadow.  The Egyptians had a whole bunch of shit going on inside the pyramids like hydrogen detonation inside resonant chambers that produced plasma and turned whatever mass they had inside the kings coffin into gamma rays.  People got out of line they snuck down to ye old majic show and sparked her up with the Pharoh standing on top with highvoltage highfrequency streamers coming off him like a novelty store plasma lamp.  Moses gets desperate climbs a mountain to get the fuck outta there before the tribe sacrafices him to a rain god (this is the same guy who stole a plamsa arc lamp from the Egyptian majicians)  sees some ball lightning which nukes his brain and he becomes creative.  Comes down with some new rules for the tribe, sparks up the box to kill as many people to impress the hoard,  then starts trooping around trying to find some place to pitch the tents near some freshwater.  Then finally comes a man of peace and love and the old tribe ain't too happy cause they are the chosen people as documented by countless other clan elders because he speaks the truth.  They get the cops to torture him and hang him on a cross.  Still they won't give up and organize a religious state on other people's turf and wonder why the rest of the folks are upset.  They should take fucking jerusalem mow it under irrigate and plant some crops so children can eat instead of standing there running some kinda tourist trap and adoring some wall.  Jeesh.

Remember, the Romans tried that, it didn't work. They just rebuilt it and carried on with the same shit as before.

I should have waited a while and posted right after yours...because mine takes up where yours left off.

Maybe I traveled forward in time.:)

@Hans + Cap

    They should at least get someone to sneakup there and tie some shakemup flashlights to these assholes dreads and tieem into an inverter to get some juice outta all this bullshit.

     Maybe some piezo electric output is in order also.
