Perendev style magnet motor- Can it work?

I was excited to see the Perendev video.  I'm not one to wait - so I began building a prototype.  [Long story short-] Mine does not work!  I could not see the equal and opposite forces due to the complexity of design.  But after working this through in prototype and even more so in my head; I reduced the complexity down to two magnets. One on a rotor, one on a stator.  It becomes very obvious, no matter how you arrange or align the two magnets- there is an equal and opposite force. Friction keeps it from spinning more that 360 degrees.

I am not a nay sayer or negative, so no need to reply with such. I am very hopeful that we can achieve free energy! I am now quite disappointed with that video.  (and more educated lol)

Quick home test: Hot glue a strong permanent magnet to a skateboard bearing and bolt through the bearing to a board (Rotor).  Hot glue a second magnet directly to the board (Stator).  Position or ALIGN them however you want! I agree that there are strong forces propelling the rotor. You will find that the forces are equal and opposite - inside of 360 degrees. Try and get the rotor to complete a full circle!

The action occurs at what I call BDC (bottom dead center), this is the ?BUMP?. The rotor magnet repels and spins away in the first 180 degrees.  It continues to accelerate in the second 180 degrees under attraction. The rotor magnet suddenly slamps into an equal and opposite force in the last few degrees short of 360: Bouncing the magnet backwards.

Adding more magnets does not seem to be the answer!  Sure adding more magnets will reduce the bump on the first pair. A good engineer can reduce that to near zero. Which is really, really cool- but this only creates a WHEEL not a MOTOR!

My simple question is this: Does anybody truly know how to get around the ?bump?. I would certainly love to hear from you.  If the MIB are a problem, be discreet.  Or maybe there no solution as yet!

What kind of diamagnetic 'shielding' did you use on the stator and rotor magnets?
Or do you think the black outer material you see here is not important?

Here they use pyrolytic graphite. But bismuth will probably also work (although less diamagnetic). Which is used here http://www.fdp.nu/perendev/perendev_rotor_2.jpg

First, thanks to Russell for trying to replicate this motor. 

Second, A) Steven, where can one acquire Bismuth or the graphite?  B) Is aluminum a possible substitute? C) Can you provide a link to the free full Parendev Patent?

Third, does anyone know if The Reed's motor by Nelson Camus works, and whether it has any relationship to the Parendev motor in design and function?

Fourth, I have built a small model with a magnet spinning inside a spiral of magnets and I am experiencing the "gate" phenomenon whereby the the rotor will not spin past the closest  magnet. 

a. How do I supress the gate effect?

Does the Calloway-"Perendev-motor"-replication work ? Ask Mr. Calloway !

If you controle the Mr.Brady motor-evolution you will remark that he left the
magnet-motor-development and is now marketing an EMM:
an electro-magnet/permanent magnet motor !
For this one there is no publication of a patent !

Bismuth is a rater 'new' material to replace lead for the fishing industry and shotgun shells.

It is cheap and can often be found in rods which you can easily melt and cast to shape, just like lead would.
There should be a fair number of web shops out there where you can get it.

Graphite is a material with "strong" diamagnetic propriety's. But unlike bismuth you can not cast it. So you have to machine it to shape. It is used in the welding industry also.

I don't think the Perendev motor is a real working motor.
Most likely these patents were filed without having a working motor in their labs.
