Even if many things divide us, what do we share? I think it is a common philosophy, a common aspiration, a common goal: progress for humanity, at least material for what we can do.

We are not afraid of technology, we believe that put at the service of man, it can improve his fate, and in this we continue the work of our forebears, who invented fire, the wheel, printing press, railways, medicine, electricity, telecommunications... and propelled man to the moon.
We are not afraid of technology, we could experiment with nuclear reactions like LENRs with the usual radiation safety precautions, and we are willing to take some risks to succeed, because in the face of the unknown no prediction can be made but the gain can be enormous.
We are not afraid of technology, we believe that we must use it by making it cleaner, with less pollution impact, even if we also know that zero pollution is impossible. Our life on earth will always have an impact, living is polluting.

Clearly today, energy is the main source of problems that penalize material progress, particularly because of its pollution and cost. Getting a clean and cheap one is therefore the target of our attention, and this forum is dedicated to it.

Although our goal seems respectable, we have enemies. Let us make no mistake about them. Our enemies are not industry or academic science. People who produce goods or knowledge, engineers, physicists, technicians, are like us. Certainly their leaders are focused on finance, but as long as they have new products to sell that will interest people, they will produce them, including those of free energy if it was ready. Because even the oil industry and Arab princes know that petrol will end and they are ready to invest in new technologies.
So who are our enemies?

Contrary to appearances, our enemies are those who seem to be on our side but are not: some of the environmentalists. Part of this movement is made up of anti-technology fundamentalists. They use ecology as a pretext only to fight industry and capitalism. For them, technology is opposed to Nature, they are afraid by technology, it is their target. It is not a caricature to say that they may make us regress and take us back to cave times. In fact, this is certainly what will happen if we follow their retrograde and reactionary ideology. This part of the ecologists is only in an ideological approach like these other political ideologies that have killed millions of people with the idea of a paradise thanks to the Aryan race or the permanent revolution. Beware of them, beware of their manipulation under the pretext of a green planet or the good of future generations.

The interest of future generations is to benefit from the new discoveries and inventions that we can make now, just as we take advantage of the risks taken by past generations in their work, such as the electrification of countries, hygiene and health conditions, rapid transport, cheap food....

Free energy is part of this interest for future generations. Obviously, if free energy were obtained, I think that our psychological profile would lead us to other priorities. What after free energy? A few leads, maybe some science fiction to make us dream.
Transport seems archaic and could be a new target, especially with inertial propulsion or gravity engineering. It is the only way that can open the Stargate to us.
Direct telecommunications between people, without the intermediaries such as telephone operators who monopolize and control the networks, possibly with the connivance of governments, also seems to be a priority. New P2P telecommunication vectors without a network are therefore to be sought, including in terms of speed, as the velocity of light is far too slow to maintain human cohesion if man were to leave the solar system.
Finally, I note that our brain seems to be reaching its limits in terms of discoveries, science is progressing less and less quickly. Artificial intelligence could be a solution to revitalize technological progress, including by integrating us as humans into this process.

Curiosity and progress are one of life's interests, we don't know what we're going to find but looking for it is exciting, while having to reproduce indefinitely the lifestyle of our forefathers is for me an image of hell.
So, brothers and sisters in spirit, let us try to improve life on earth by our small contribution: good free energy 2019 for all of us!  ;)

I fail to see that technology has vastly improved our standards of living.

The invention of the ICE was the turning point toward a toxic world.
Greed then capitalized on this invention, which led to big oil, power providers, and big farma all cashing in.

The mobile phone and internet has turned our children into zombies. They no longer jump on there bike to go see a friend, but jump on social media, and complain how hard there lives are  ::)

We are now at the mercy of tyrannical governments, who would rather wage war instead of fighting for peace.

We are now at that place where everything is internet reliant, and our lives are no longer ours to control.

Should our planet be hit by a large EMP from a big solar flair, and the www gets knocked out--were screwed.
Should the oil run out tomorrow--were screwed.
Should ww3 break out--were screwed.

200 years ago,in the days of the horse and cart--none of the above could do any dammage to our way of living.

We are now living on a knifes edge, where one simple action or occurrence would mean the end of life as we know it.

I simply do not see as to how we are going in the right direction.

@tinman

Would you have preferred to live in the 19th century, light your home by candlelight if you are rich enough, live in a cold and humid place in winter, work 50 hours a week from Monday to Saturday, and die of tuberculosis at age 45?

Would you have preferred to live in the 18th century, to have 40 years of life expectancy, to have one chance in two to die before 2 years, to live under feudal laws, illiterate, and if you are wracked with a hare's beak, to have to endure it all your life, under the quolibets of ignorant believers asking you what you have done to God to punish you in this way?

Would you have preferred to live in cave age, trying to survive from day to day hunting or gathering, at the mercy of wild animals or opposing tribes?

People who constantly complain about the pollution and the little miseries of today's life see only the other side of the coin.
They have forgotten how far they have come, they have forgotten all the benefits of today's life. They complain about the disadvantages of the thousands of solutions put in place by man and for man over the course of his history, and they no longer see the advantages, such as well-off, spoiled and poorly educated children.

Great resolution!  It reminds me that death is also one of nature's problems to be eradicated.  ;D

I believe you are making a strawman argument because the choice was never all or nothing as you suggest. The fossil fuel people often make the same false argument when they claim we must return to the stone ages if we stop using oil which is not true. Free and renewable energy will replace all fossil fuels in the future and our lives will improve for the better without all the pollution.

I like to think the most advanced technology would be seamlessly integrated into our lives and also work with nature not against it. That is, the most "intelligent" technology will have no downside and does no harm to us or our environment which is why it is the most intelligent choice. We can do better and we will.

The fact remains that if we destroy the environment we will be living in caves once again regardless of what kind of technology we have because the surface of the planet will be inhospitable. Thus it was never technology or the environment because the two can coexist if we start making more intelligent choices.

Well im not sure as to which part of the world you are talking about, but it was not as bad as you state in the 19th century.

My grandfather, who live in the 19th century, died at the age of 96.

Yes,no more death from taburculocous.  Now we have new diseases popping up from no where-like aids.

Work a 50 hour week-i wish. Try 65 to 70.
But lets look at you 50 hour week--
When i was a child,my father went to work, and yes,a 50 hour week is about right back then-->but,only he had to head off to work, while my mother remained at home to take care of the homely duties. Today, both mother and father have to work a 40 hour week, just to make ends meet, and share the homely duties after getting home from work. So your 50 hour working week has gone to an 80 working week.

I also think you missed the point i was making, which all is not as great as you seem to think it is.

Lets say for example that the solar panel was invented instead of the ICE,and the world was powered by the sun instead of oil back then--where would we be now?

I dont think you see the big dilemma coming our way.
One day soon, the oil, gas, and coal are going to run out-then what?

Not enought is being done towards renewable energies,as there is to much money to make by a greedy few from fossil fuels.

As far as being able to eradicate those dangerous diseases from yesty year,yes-some. But what about all these new diseases, like aids?--how many have died from that one alone?.

Like i said, once the oil and gas run out, most today will die.
No oil=no trucks. No trucks=no food. No food =dead.
No WWW=world financial disaster.
Do you see the predicament we are in.

You are also wrong about the health of this generation.
The children back in the days of my childhood were far healthier than those of today--thanks to technology.  I have lived through the transition to this wonderful technology, and seen the end results.

The world and todays generation are far less healthy than it was 50 years ago,and life is not the bed of roses you seem to think it is.

I would like to add this--
There is nothing we do today, nothing we power today, that cannot be powered by the sun-that includes air travel.

We have solar panels at less than 50 cents a watt,so there is no reason every home and car cannot be powered by solar.
We even have trains and busses powered solely by the sun.

So i ask--why are we still using fossil fuels?.

Technology is not the problem, its how we use it,and how reliant we we are on it that is the problem.

Most seems to think that fossil fuels will be here for ever, but that is not true. At todays rate,we have 31-32 years worth of fossil fuels-->at todays rate of consumption. In 5 years, the consumption of fossil fuels will have increased by 13%.

Most here will still be alive when the shit hits the fan.
Your children and grandchildren will be lucky to survive--thats how bad it is.

I say we Boldly go...
it seems our destiny , yesterday 4 billion miles away they took pictures of the Snowman ,..and the Chinese..sent some photos of their SUV on the Dark side of the moon.
I found F6FLT's mission statement most inspirational ,lets wake the kids from their numbing slumber...,get them out of their safespace and this Vaporware internet they are trapped in ,and into the real game !!
to Boldly go sounds good .

It's not all doom and gloom like i might project it to be.
As F6FLT said, thete are some good points in the technology we have today, such as being able to talk to and communicate with people all over the world.

F6FLT seems to think i look at the other side of the coin, when in reality,i look at both sides of the coin.
I look at worst case scenarios first-the dangers that are hidden from most. This way i can only expect a better outcome than that which i project.

But some of the points i made are how it is today.
Our kids are less healthy today than they were when i was a child.
And what if we ran out of oil
at the end of the year?. How many wouls survive?

The good thing is,we really do have the ability today to live solely of the energy from the sun. The sun can provide us with electrical power, and that is all we need, even to keep the ICE running if need be. We simply produce hydrogen, using the electrical energy conveconverted from sunlight. Any ICE will run on hydrogen, and im sure even a jet engine can be modified to run on hydrogen.

Imagine that--every vehicle on earth powered by the sun, producing only water as emissions.
How clean this world would become.

If (IF) we go about it the right way, then beyond 2019 could be a great future for our children and grandchildren.
But as it stands ATM,we are governed by those without vision for the future, but only by how much profit can be made today, with total disregard of the impact it will have on the next generation.

We have governments that allow people to be charged for sunlight, charged and fined for collecting rain water, and put in jail for putting up wind turbines.
Since when did any body become the owner of the sun, rain , and wind,to think they have the right to charge for such things?.
Why did the people allow this to happen?.

We Australians had our government try just that-charge us for sunlight, which they called a sun tax. This was a tax that was to be put on those with PV systems on there rooftops.
But we (the people) stood together, and we told our government no way in hell are you taxing us for sunlight.
The tax idea was dropped, but also at the next election,we voted those idiots out-just so they, and the newly elected got the message that we will have none of that crap here.

Only when we all stand together, will we be heard.
The people are the power, but we just cant seem to all stand together united.

there is one big elephant in all humanity,s living room. WE AS THE HUMAN RACE WE DO NOT KNOW OUR
PURPOSE OF EXISTENCE. WE VOLUNTARILY, WILLINGLY LET THE VAMPIRE DIABOLICS POLITICIAN ENSLAVE US..
I WILL GIVE TO YOU ALL FOR THIS NEW YEAR 3 WORDS AND NONE OF YOU WILL EVER HAVE TIME TO BE THANKFUL AND
BE GRATEFUL FOR.. PRIVILEGE OF EXISTENCE.
THERE IS APPROXIMATELY 7.5 BILLION PEOPLE ON EARTH NOW AND NOT ONE KNOW EXACTLY 100% THE
PURPOSE OF EXISTENCE. THERE HAVE BEEN MAYBE ANOTHER 10 BILLION DEAD BEFORE, BUT NO ONE SINGLE
GENIUS, SMART OR TOTAL STUPID HAD AND WILL EVER FIGURE IT OUT..
BUT THERE IS ONE VERY VERY SURE THING IT IS FUCKING DEATH.. SO MY ADVISE TO ALL WE ARE NOT OF THE BODY
BUT OF THE SPIRIT. TECHNOLOGY IS NEVER GOING TO BE THE SALVATION OF HUMANITY, BUT OUR PURE UNADULTERATED
MORALITY WILL FOR SURE LEAD US NOT TO TEMPTATION..
