Hi,
I nearly didn't bother looking at this when I saw pasta makers etc. When I saw Mark was
interested I took notice.
Gravity/buoyancy and permanent magnets are so well understood that I can't ever see
anything emerging there whereas solar pv is getting more efficient all the time and cheaper
too!
What we need is a durable secondary battery. If a battery could be developed that would
last 25 years and say a cubic metre in size which could be buried in the garden and would
give most of a days power you would be on to a winner.
Is this a crap idea? Any thoughts?
                                        John.

It is fairly easy to obtain these materials.

I wish there was more material out there on there manufacturing process with the speghetti maker and such would be all too sweet to pickup some cheap plastic containers and start making some home made batteries for energy storage how about open source electrical bicycles or something even for short distance travel.

We can do so much with an open source battery project.

If we can use products safe enough why not no harmful sulfuric acids.... Maybe vinegar or lemon juice or some other electrolyte water even.

Actually to make standard zinc carbon battery rechargable require very slight change into the contruction of inside part, any industrial process can be adapted easily to that ...but there is no PROFIT for all those manufacturers and they won't do that !!
