Your religious views are of no concern. It is OK if you want to attribute inspiration to an invisible homicidal all powerful being. However, science is rigorous and demands falsifiability. Gathered data about the device is more important than opinion for getting at the truth of the matter. If you can't meet a basic scientific standard you might as well tell everyone it runs on pixie dust.
