Water Vortex Generator
« on: December 07, 2013, 10:36:25 PM »
I recently ran into Vortex water generators; and could use some feedback.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPIWSVhVHL0 (I think this video sin't from the company that is below... so there's 2 implementations)

is the power of a vortex more than the water?  Such that if you have a large water wheel , can it produce 10KW?

http://www.zotloeterer.com/

I went to their site and they have various forms from 0.5Kw to 70Kw... 10Kw is 6M diameter 1.2M drop with a flow rate of 1.2 m^3/sec.....I made some sample vortex generator things uing styrofoam bowls with a (I dunno) 3/8" hole in the bottom.... I used a long plastic bottle with a hole and a tube extended off the bottom, and could get a stronger vortex with more 'pull'(?)

is this a vortex impeller?Tri-lobe schist (type of rock) bowl; egyptian 1st dynasty

the picture,its an oil lamp.
the 10kw unit is 71 percent efficient.not bad for a low head
but not overly impressive otherwise.

; oil lamp... vases; sphere game peices...
I see impellers, floats, and regulators.... especially those things that are not flint and not pottery clay.
(meh, I can't find a good image of viktor schauberger's mixer disc... the folded impeller really looks like a good improvement on the design, channeling water laterally more effectively)

I see; I divided horsepower by 745 instead of multiplying

4 ft drop
2536.05170386795 pounds of water (1.2 m^3)
60 seconds (flow in m3/sec)

608652.288 HP

453,445,954.56W of water displacement to 10Kw?

it's a lot less than 71%
0.00221%

Ya so ... that's bad; wonder how you got your number though

at the spring preserve thing here they have a huge granite ball suspended to freely turn on water... it's got a slight pressure and the surface tension keeps it freely floating....  something like

*shrug*  I'm sure watermelon seeds look the same.

Hmm I saw a guy that had built one of those, from a egg-arc section ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkajCndsB5o

http://www.hidrolinfa.pt/#!hidrolinfa/c66t
Vortex source: human body
Giving explanation about the bio-technical process  used by the comercial pamphlet:  I ,2005 or 2006 -for free-
Who helped to close the hidrolinfa manufact(-o-)uring company : I ,cause how they realize the concept is similar Telsas :P or Teslas electric chair potential
Good idea, bad exploration ( basic costs 150 Euros max.,hidrolinfa = hidrolife explored by Mylife,Gaia,Rua Soares dos Reis)

Sincerely

Pyramid tunnel model; apparently from 2000....
"pyamid hydraulic ram water' user is a collection of other videos, not original source; 3 parts.

Lots of hydraulic ram pumps deployed in australia... (oh this is vortex generator not ram :) )

But he doesn't have the shaft under the whirlpool generator open, so there's no vortex formed...
