I'm a little confused. Are you suggesting that I am in some way connected to this DR No person/group? I hope not.
Absolutely not.   I don't think you're a Neo-Nazi like him or a crackpot.   I imply that people who're doing what your friend is doing, then attract unwanted attention like 'Dr. No'.   Say, possibly from MIB's, as some conspiracy theorists claim.

Be aware the the American President Dwight Eisenhower signed an Executive Order requiring the CIA and other agencies to look at all patents for possible military, terrorist, or national security issues.   It's still in effect and your friend's invention may be one.

Oh, well good. Apologies if you took offense.

It's probably a little late to avoid the attention of interested parties, since he has been in touch with local representatives/senators etc. None of which took him seriously, of course, which is very frustrating.

As for military value, I doubt it. The device is only really feasible on a large scale, and useless for propulsion (unless you could figure out how to mount one on an oil tanker or something), so unless you could suppose that a military group would want to spend large sums of money/manpower building a hydroelectric setup complete with turbines in total secret, then I'd say that it is a pretty safe assumption that this is of very limited military potential.

Also, it is not the device described above, and works completely under its own power. No input of energy required. All you do is open a valve to start the cascade and water moves from low to high places. (If you think you're curious, imagine how I feel :) )

Also hypothetically, wouldn't someone coming up with real OU PM (insert name here) win a Nobel hands down?

Or are all Nobel laureates required to be war criminals these days?
