Is this the secret of Bidini like system?
« on: February 01, 2008, 05:53:09 AM »
Get an old floppy disk drive, remove top & bottom cover, if any.

Push a rod 1/16" through the rotor & rotor holder at the back ( 1 of 3 small hole near the center of the rotor or the hole at the rotor holder at the back, make sure the rod go through ).

Unscrew the screw at center of rotor by turn it CW. After take if apart, you will see:

1- Rotor 2.5" had a magnet ring on the edge of it, with 16 N & S poles on the magnet ring.

2- The stator had electromagnet at avery .5 hr position. But it had only 21 electromagnet 1/8" x 1/2" on it, designer left 3 spaces empty. Is there any screte here?

3- The interesting about electromagnet is the iron core had the arc shape like the rotor in the distributor cap of an automobile. Is this the key for this motor?

I open the bigger floppy drive, it had 3" rotor & magnet with 20 N & S poles on it. And 30 electromagnets on the stator.

If you find anything, pls post here so everyone can learn.

I don't have digital camera, who did, pls post the picture of stator here, I'm sure it looks good & and you are hero on this topic. Thanks.

You can build one like this, just put the rotor under the stator, so we can see everything in action.
