Joule thief perpetual power combo.
« on: June 08, 2011, 01:12:01 AM »
Here is a video where I run a joule thief that runs on an an AA battery. The joule thief powers a bright led which  sits a top a solar panel, and I feed the output of the solar panel into a second battery to recharge it. I show the power reading of the AA battery in the joule thief which is around 1.35 volts and show the output reading of the solar panel which is around 2.33 volts.

Hi Steve.

I have been subscribed to your channel and wait for further results but I must say the serious side of this forum likes to see watts in and watts out, voltage and or amps alone just doesn't do it for us. please, if you wish to be a good scientist you must buckle like everyone else when it comes to watts in watts out rule of thumb.

I enjoyed your video but I must say your meter presentation needs upgrading or many here will not take you seriously.

a simple v x i = watts would suffice.

good luck and see you around the forum.
