Joined a while ago, first post. Has any one here or else where, combined light and sound and converted it into a usable energy?  ???

Hello,
You know I read somewhere some time ago I can't remember the details exactly but it was about using a microphone inside of a speaker's voice coil to amplify sound vibration where in turn can be converted into electricity. A system that runs itself plus extra energy to put into use.

Sound and light are so far from one another in the spectrum of waves, you would be better off combining the effects of light with Radio waves, or sound with Radio waves..

Most speakers are setup like Helmholtz coils as it is, so, they're pretty much built to act like receivers of like sized coils - keep this in mind, you may be able to place to speakers facing one another, and receive both sound base energy as well as electromagnetic energy.

Thanks for the reply! It was something that popped into my head at 3 am  :P  With all the advancements being made in alternative energy, I thought "why not".
