Sgroogle it!
« on: August 03, 2008, 03:18:54 AM »
I don't know if this has been posted before.
but for those paranoid about google(as I am lately) try Scroogle, the site explains all about themselves, no cookies and no information pass on, heres an interesting quote I found on scroogle
Quote
Matt Cutts, a software engineer at Google since January 2000, used to work for the National Security Agency.

Keyhole, the satellite imaging company that Google acquired in October 2004, was funded by the CIA.

"We are moving to a Google that knows more about you."     ?   Google CEO Eric Schmidt, February 9, 2005

Since 2000, Google has recorded your search terms, the date-time of each search, the globally-unique ID in your cookie (it expires in 2038), and your IP address. This information is available to governments on request. If your favorite site features a Google search box, ask them to install their own local site search. They could also use our site search for webmasters, which shows the same results without the tracking.

An interesting site and idea ... but lets think.
If my work were to collect information about people who are "interesting" and do not want someone to follow their searches, what a better way to do that,  then to set a site that supposedly hides someones IP address and attract exactly these type of "interesting" searches. This will make my job a lot easier. This reminds me about he problem of "the chicken and the egg" ... just a thought ...

WTF?  My post above was supposed to warn people that www.scroogle.com is a P.O.R.N. site.

WTF would this forum censor the word "  "  (p.o.r.n.)
And why could I not edit my post?

This stupid censorship only draws attention to words ...

p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....p.o.r.n....
