A Coating To Increase Gas Production??
« on: October 31, 2008, 08:23:00 AM »
hey, i read somewhere on one of my 4AM nights on the computer somewhere about someone who was getting their plates for their cell coated in some coating that is said to increase gas production while protecting the plates from pre mature corrosion...  anyone know of anything like that?  the closest thing i could find was this site http://www.cleanaircanisters.com/nano-services.php who claim to nano-coat their plates.....  WTF is Nano-coating?

Hi,

http://www.qsinano.com/pdf/qsi_nano_nife_electrode_product_profile.pdf

But it looks as if the are much more expensive..

Hi colinjlyon,

i found it directly with clusty-seach engine :

http://clusty.com/search?input-form=clusty-simple&v%3Asources=webplus&query=

with this input-words : nano-coated plates

returning the follwing results :

http://clusty.com/search?input-form=clusty-simple&v%3Asources=webplus&query=nano-coated+plates

But , you know, they only give us very small pieces of a technology which is more than 15 years old.
The plates are too expensive for a product without warranty.

Regards

Kator

there is a very cheap coating you can put on your plates yourself, turn your cell on in potassium hydroxide (koh) leave it in for aout 3 days to condition the plates.  then get some fresh koh with as much koh as possible in the water. leave the plates alone sat in the solution and after about a week a white layer will coat the plates. when you use the same power to turn on your cell you WILL see a major increase in hho production

Yes, Hydro-call, I read that too. It was Ravi. quoting a pdf from panacea I could never get.

I found more from peswiki, though.

Ravi says that it must be coated slowly. He says if you do it too quickly, the coating gets too thick too quickly and chips off and you must start all over again.

He made his pwm first so he could control the mV mA going thru his system and make it slow. Also, he said the process should or did take about a month.

This is what is meant by "conditioning" the cell.

I hope this helps some,

jeanna
