HHO production questions and answers
« on: December 30, 2007, 07:15:33 PM »
Howdy folks.
I have been trying to read everything i can find on producing massive amounts of HHO. It seems to me that either thru plasma or high voltage and low amps is the only way to go. I have been tracking ZFF,Hydrogen tap and others and i doubt that will ever produce enough flow.
I would like to use this string for us to ask questions and hopefully IH, grumpy and others would be kind enough to enlighten us before we go in circles or blow ourselves up. I would also like folks to post their ideas, no matter how whacky to let us all think about it.
I have this crazy idea or using a car coil with tungsten rods or SS. How can I pulse this going into the coil to break the  current and do I need to use a condenser?
What difference to output of coil would different voltage in make? Can you do coils in series?
Would 1M volts @ micro amps do anything?
Could you do this to a standard cell?
Has anybody tried to use Epsom Salt? I understand KOH is the standard now.
Has anybody attached a speaker at certain vibrations to the bottom of a cell?
Would not stron harmonice loosen more HHO bubbles?
What about using carbon rods? safer gas?
I know I should just build it and learn but maybe some of you would have pitty on us simple folks with  no learning. Besides IH warned me of the danger and I do have a kid to raise.
I hope to have some cash to put into this and would like to start out on the right foot when I am able.
I have been trying to puttogether a shopping list but didnt take enough notes. Biggest problem is with my not knowing elctrois at all and looking for a good book to learn from.
I did build a small pvc cell with SS bolts and washers and baking soda and it produced maybe .5lpm at high amps, no good
THE BIG QUESTION
Has anybody have any MPG results on a running cell installed?
Thank you all for any help in advance.
Crazy Joe (since joe dirt has been taken LMAO)

G'day all,

I do not know why everybody is so keen on using salt water in electrolysis cells. This has to be just about the worst electrolyte going.

Instead of oxygen and hydrogen you will get hydrogen and chlorine on the electrodes. Chlorine is TOXIC! You are better of using caustic soda  (sodium hydroxide) or caustic potash (potassium hydroxide).

In small cells salt water is not a problem, the moment the cells get larger and produce meaningful quantities of gas there is real danger there. Stay away from it.
