Earth as Assymetical Capacitor
« on: April 22, 2016, 07:27:07 PM »
1.In the first image an insulated metal plate is burried inside earth(soil) and Voltage(AC or DC) is applied across it and earth.

2. In second image two insulated metal plates burried inside earth ( with any desired distance between plates ) and voltage(AC or DC) is applied across them.

3. In both cases is there any capacitance effect?

4. can the first image (with one metal plate) have Assymetrical capacitance effect?

(sorry the position images are interchanged)
