Good for you!  Riding a bike and not using a car, if more people did this, then you watch the price of gas fall like a rock!  A lot of people are blaming the oil companies and their huge profits, I think that is wrong.  It is our fault! (those of us still driving)  I have seen over the last year, 2 surveys that ask: "At what price of gas would you change your driving habits?"  Here in the US you know what 80% of the people answered? $5/gal.  This was back when gas was about a dollar cheaper than right now.  What idiots answered like this?  Do they think the oil companies are not aware of the answers?

Put it like this:  You walk into a bar looking for a cold beer.  There is a survey sitting on the bar that you must fill out before ordering.  If it asked what is the highest price a beer could be before I would change my drinking preferences, and I put down $9/beer, guess what I will be paying for my beer?  Probably about $8.50!!

It is not up the government to get us off oil, it is up to us.  You have done it.  I can't, right now, but you better believe I am working on it.  I will one day be off the grid as well.  I know everyone can't/won't do anything like this but if enough do, the suppliers will feel it and prices will drop...simple supply and demand.  We are the demand.  If we lower it, prices come down.  I don't blame anyone for charging what the market will bare, that is business. I do blame me for letting me get myself "addicted" to anyone's product such that they have me by the balls.  That will not happen again.

If/when Hilary Clinton hijacks the next election, it will represent nearly 30 years of the Whitehouse beirg controlled by the Bush/Clinton crime family ?

Does not not sound off any alarms ?

maybe this will...It has being advised for some time now by those who predicted the food shortages we are seeing today, that everyone should store at least 3 months worth of food.

Everybody laughed at them then...not so much now though.

It won't do anything because when we use less oil, the military will use more. Right now they are increasing the price of oil across the country, which is compeletly false because areas like the NorthWest get ALL their oil from alaska, which is in complete abundance. The government knows that oil is the economic center, thus they go and support the trusts as a means of control. How the hell would the government get all the oil to invade iraq if the sources weren't controled? Capitalism my ass.....

@ All:

It was not, nor is now, an illegal war!  Hell, Hillary voted for it, as did the majority of congress.

Bill (Peace)

So if America thinks it's ok to invade a country for  WMD's oops Saddams terrorist links  oops. oh wait it was just Oil really, Iraqs, Irans, Afghanistan's land for the pipeline. Then it "MUST" be legal!

Oh shit China is invading America for Brown Bears and Redwood forests...

And the whole of America would scream! "It's an unprovoced illegal attack on our sovereignty and way of life"

Really my friend, stop being an apologist like half your countrymen and face the black and white truth!
The war was a planned invasion for oil and that is what makes it Illegal regardless of what the invading country, America, might think! The whole world is watching and knows what America is....full of it!

I don't know what country you are from but your facts are wrong.  You really should know your history before making a slamming post on a man's country like that.  I am not even going to waste my time to explain it to you.  You would not even listen to the facts as presented so all I can say is...enjoy whatever piss hole of a country you live in. We will be here to bail your butts out again whenever you need us.

What you call countries are sometimes just hostage situations.  Like, which dictator is holding these people hostage now.  I wish the Iraq war had gone better, or not at all, but we are not building any damn oil pipeline.

Look, America is a tremendous force for good in this world.  You are probably too much of an idiot to realize how much of your country's safety you owe to America's willingness to unleash holy hell upon any nation that starts invading its neighbors.

Really?  Again? When did it happen the last time? Oh yes. I forgot, America saved the world from itself!

My Facts are wrong? In that it was only America that decided the war was legal and Just while the UN choked on the arrogance?

You are right though, I should stop slamming a person / country for being reluctant to challenge a government being run by bullies and nut jobs.
Mebbe next time America will vote for the Left oriented government, oh, wait, America does not have anything left of center right. Quite the shiz then huh?

RECIPE FOR DISASTER

First the sociopathic dictator succeed must surround themselves with other sociopaths...making their sociopathic behavior appear normal by comparison.

Add controlled major media outlets filled with a mixture of other sociopaths, the naive, and the easily swayed...this is enough to gain the support of an already socially distracted population primed by false reports designed to instill fear and apprehension.

Let simmer, stir at regular intervals...and serve with appropriate cultural garnishes.

it is frightening to see that people like Bill and Utilitarian are unwilling to look at the facts, and only at the facts.
More then 50% of our population do not want to look at facts or even hear them; this is what makes our country so dangerous...
they believe what is being fed by the authorities and generally accepted...and dismiss 'hardcore facts' as crap.
they believe but do not want to know!!!

The beauty of the conditioning process used to control the mindset of the masses is that those drawn into the illusion are conditioned to reject, ridicule, and ignore unimpeachable contradictions to a blatant lie.

Through the media, from an early age, redeemable personal attributes like loyalty and rightousness are turned against our own interests through the usage of symbols, such as flags and concepts like 'countries' and religion...driving into our subconscious, messages of allegience to divisive social constructs.

Evidence of the great deception can be found all over the place...just take notice.

There's other things to smell along the way besides the roses.

Rant over.

"A recent letter to the editor asked for evidence of my claims regarding the tragedy of 9/11. Below I present some points that are presently known. I won?t be able to convince anyone who doesn?t want to be convinced, but for those who are willing to deal with factual evidence, consider the following:"
