Power Input and power output calculation..
« on: April 19, 2016, 06:06:14 AM »
Hi everyone,

Me and my friend have build undershot water wheel turbine with zero head, which is running on the river.
The problem is calculate the power input and power out pun from water turbine..
can some one guide me for better understanding..

in my research I found this formula:

Power Input
Pkin = A. ρ.[(v^3)/2]

Power output
Pmax = ½ x Cp x ρ x A v^3

Can i use this formula?or this formula is only use for different type of water wheel?
