Working Magnet Motor Replication
« on: October 28, 2010, 10:09:05 PM »
I have schematic for magnet motor similar to Muammer Yildiz motor.

I want to build this moto and couple it to a Tesla Dynamo Electrical Generator or  SSG or Rodin coil or any suitable type device to charge large battery bank, 2400 A/h 24v. I want the negative charge as I have banks of phased out batteries from local commercial shop.

Please point me to where I need to go for more info.

I really hope you didn't pay any money for those plans.

My YouTube account has been spammed by at least 5 different usernames, in comments and in PMs, pushing that set of plans as a "working" magnet motor. When you dig deeper you will see that the "inventor" has not actually built one, he is just sure that it will work.

And I am sure that it will not. Whenever you have magnets moving past conductors, like your spiral iron bands, there is an eddy current braking effect that occurs to oppose the motion of the magnets. The attractive force might provide a small thrust at some points of the rotation, but the drag force will ALWAYS act to retard the motion and gets worse the faster the rotor is forced to turn.

Any magnet motor design that involves magnets moving parallel to conductive material, whether magnetic or not, will suffer from this eddy current drag force, which acts always to oppose the motion regardless of direction and which increases in strength with the speed of the motion.

That's not the only reason it won't work, but that's the easiest and perhaps least controversial reason to see.

no worries.

I got me a plasma cutter and some scrap sheet metal. Will start cutting and drilling. If it works, great, I'll post a video, if not, we'll, it will be my first lesson.

I'm working on the Romag generator  too.
