Gravity Motor with Permanent Magnet Assist
« on: April 25, 2006, 08:50:30 PM »

How about this one? I wonder if this would work?

http://peswiki.com/index.php/OS:Andy_Gravity-Magnet_Motor

"Named the "Andy Motor," invented by Tom Ferko, this open-sourced design combines the principles of gravity and megnetism to create a rotating device, whose torque can be harnessed for energy. These plans are being shared openly with the world. "

Hi Cybe,

A Quote from that site:

-The prototype was destroyed, and no videos were taken.
-The reason I destroyed the prototype is for some strange reason forwarding jpeg photos on my computer to ANYONE connected to -overunity did not work. I could send out family photos, scenes, ect. to anyone with ease, but try to send out anything related to free -energy in the way of photos did not work?? I managed to send everything to the overunity builders web site where all is shown now. -How that happened is a mystery. Why no free energy photos and at the same time family photos go through?
-Running scared I acted to hastily. Thinking more clearly about this now, I am reconstructing a model with 16 inch diameter split steel -hoops.
-The previous prototype functioned all the time, and I had to grab the swinging rotor arms to stop it.
-I never measured the torque but its speed was slow. I would have to call it a slow-but-high-torque motor.

I think the above is a little strange to say the least, so I doubt if it really worked.
But maybe it did work, someone else any idea?

is this for real!? this is great! awesome!  :o

i dont even think the magnet is needed. if the rolling wheels have some kind of locking mechanism while it rolls it would work too i think.

I don't know would it work. It reminds me of this http://www.stoptellingustobe.com/axletree/index.html

and wondering about whether they work reminds me of this: http://www.overunity.com/index.php/topic,644.0.html which I'm quite sure now doesn't work...

These 2 will not work.
at least not the second one.
The axeltree has the problem at the 11 o?clock positionthe weights will be sticking too far out again
and too much friction at the 4 o ?clock position to move the weights in again...

The Nature?s wheel is just not working, cause they did not calculate the speed for the balls to be
accelerated during moving up will need more energy than is gained in all the weights going down....

But the Andy_Gravity-Magnet_Motor
is really cool !

someone has calculated that it doesn't work: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AndyGravMag/message/10

I wonder

no, this won't work.

It's no different to any other gravity motor. the magnets are not doing anything other than keeping the weights attached to the rim of the fixed steel rim, this could be achieved mechanically, with less friction than rolling magnets.

Draw a line vertically through the centre of the steel rim, you will see that to the right of the line, there are 3 falling magnets, on the left of the line are five magnets that need to be raised. The analysis on the other forum shows this.
