AA battery
« on: September 03, 2010, 07:40:29 PM »
Does someone knows what is the chemical solution in this standard PB batteries. I dismantle one of this batteries and as we all know it has :
carbon/graphite
paper
PB lead.

but i can't found what could be the mixture.

Second question:
is the paper moisture same solution as carbon/graphite or is ? used for something else...

I am asking this because if you pull out the paper and if you set this paper to some graphite rod and put some ALU on top, you will get some miliamps and cca 800mV. So the conclusion would be that even this small paper holds enough solution to create some voltage.

Please some suggestion, what could be this solution an if this has something to do with the paper quality etc.

Thank you in advance.
