After seeing a post by Aromaz on Stubblefields farm I did some more research. I also followed the timeline on the coil. Radioactive materiel's in his location boosted the power on this coil. Namely pitchblende. He was drawing energy out of the shale.  Follow the time line of his life.

Hes building these coils as well as growing a garden. Later his son gets sick. Later still Stubblefield gets sick and was emaciated. The glowing ground witnesses, and his mirror which gave out warmth was probably embedded with radium like old watches used to be.  He had to have radiation sickness from the description that people gave when they found him. Some locations where he went the coil wouldnt work. This adds up to me.

The hot spots or locations had to be radioactive materials in the shale. He was picking up prime radiant energy. A good candidate for testing is Pirate or anyone who lives in these types of areas. A geiger counter can pick up pitchblende but I dont know the depth it can pick it up.
Some of you may already know how to test for it by other means but Im not saying it. Even though these radioactive materiel's boosted the power,it doesnt mean this coil cant be utilized in a different manner.

Here is the excerpt from the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists from Jun 1950.

There is no pitchblende deposits here in Kentucky that I know of.  If there were to be any, it would be in the coal areas of the eastern part of the state.  It does not occur here in my area naturally.  There was only one source I read that mentioned pitchblende and our group did not believe it to be correct.  He demonstrated his coils successfully all over the place in many states (Including in the Potomac river) and they worked just fine.  I really doubt that he first seeded each area he went with radioactive material.

Of course, it is possible but after all of the articles I have read and research I have done, I don't think it is very likely.

Stubblefield's farm location is in the western part of the state and not too far from the Mississippi river.  We have sedimentary rock all over that area, and it is pretty flat out there.  The site is about 2 hours west of my position and in my area we have some hills and rolling meadows.

The Telluric currents are everywhere on the earth and should not be location specific.  Now, are some areas better for them than others?  Probably.  Also, I think they change and drift around a bit as evidenced by the different reading I get over the past 2 years.  Sometimes up, sometimes down...and then back up again.  It is very weird for sure.

Personally, after reading about what happened to him and his company in the stock swindle deal, and his wife leaving him and taking the kids, and him being completely broke and losing the farm, I think he was probably suffering from some form of depression which would account for his "wasting away" as described by his friends.

We may never really know for sure.  He was certainly an interesting fellow.

Doesnt have to be pitchblende per se. You do have uranium deposits in the shale by all accounts. If Ns tapped the Uranium in the shale that would be more potent than just plain pitchblende. Ive never heard of this coil being to far away from the Appalachian range either.

Uranium is one of the more common elements in the Earth’s crust, some 40 times more common than silver and 500 times more common than gold.   It can be found almost everywhere in rock, soil, rivers, and oceans. Globally, the distribution of uranium ore deposits is widespread on all continents, with the largest deposits found in Australia, Kazakhstan, and Canada. To date, high-grade deposits are only found in the Athabasca Basin region of Canada.

Thats true but just like a river and its tributary's they each have their own width, depth and direction. The path of least resistance as it were, with the easy path being mainly radioactive materiel's. Which is still good news for this coil.

The Earths spin creates an electrical field East to West more or less. That creates a magnetic field more or less North to South. That magnetic field which is pushed by the east/west electric field creates current. That current flows around the Earth and eventually comes back on itself and spreads out in all directions including downward like a lightning bolt. The higher current flows would be in radioactive materiel's and any materiel that offers the least resistance. That would make Telluric currents radiant energy as well. Devices using some type of radioactive materiel show a remarkable increase in power. This is how I see the mechanics of it.

Your map shows exactly what I am saying.  That is all on the east end of the state and no where near where Stubblefield's farm was.  He was in far western Kentucky.

All of the evidence I have read tells me radioactivity had nothing to do with it.  I was a geology major in college at Western Kentucky University for 2 years.  I did a lot of caving as there are many in this area.  I am 20 miles south of Mammoth cave, which is the world's longest cave, and the caves exist due to the limestone layers  of sedimentary rock, which goes very deep.  No shale.  No uranium.

He could have imported it but again, you are going on one report and all of the other information from that time period does not bear this out.

Reports from family and friends. He didnt have to import radioactive materiel's as they are in the ground everywhere to one extent or another and not just in shale. Im just saying NS tapped into major telluric currents that surrounded his area. He didnt have to be directly on top of a volume of radioactive material, but just the current flow from it. Whether deep in the ground or close to the surface.
Just to try and clarify my thoughts more. Its already been established by Scientists and experimenters that radioactive materials help boost energy in electric currents. The electric currents are running through not just radioactive materials but silver, gold, copper etc. So in my opinion its the amount of radioactive materials in a given area that make the current flow stronger and makes its a special type of current with a higher radiant energy level in it. So any radioactive elements in the ground must have an impact on any electric current flowing through it.
Heres another thought Bill. The storys of the chicken farmers having working coils and not just in Kentucky. Where are these coils and why were they abandoned? Was it because of the news of Stubblefields kid getting sick?
More to say but my wife is calling me to dinner.

No matter the mechanism of energy flow we should be able to make a working coil somewhere in this world. If Ns did it and others then why cant we. I see 2 major reasons why it hasnt been done yet. Location and the materials being used.  A coil of sufficient size and proper materials have to be made and a good location found. That basin in the western Canadian rockys might be prime. These mountain ranges seem to be the place with the most activity.
Laser reported some kind of progress he is supposed to post.

White / Grey space, eeeek!

Anyway - I think that a device which could accelerate the decay of radioactive debris may be a rather useful invention.  It could de-radiate areas.  But  if the circumstances which you've mentioned are true, then it would also mean emissions of radioactivity.  Which would be bad unless harnessed properly as would probably be the case.

I'm still confounded by the idea that spent nuclear fuel isn't stored in such a manner as to recapture heat ( i.e. the sterling cycle engine ).

Mind boggling.

I still say we should all switch to geothermal ( if not here then somewhere it's abundant and transmit it elsewhere.  Solar pales in comparison to this.

Yeah, I asked for an answer on that here:
(Along with questions on other new probs.)
