He is not selling a thing. The kits are a reward based on the donation amount given to help his research in this field. There is no set price for this except for tier amounts which will garner a specific parts list for them to assemble. Some of the coils will be assembled but I think most all of the kits are parts based and up to the experimenter to assemble on his own.

The argument you pose is for professionals in an organization that work with devices what utilize high voltages in conjunction with grounding. Those are set so that the professionals know the dangers and how to work with commercial electrical supplies. If that was the case then over half of these people on this forum would be under that specific electrical associations grasp and could be shut down in an instant. I assure you that they have no control over the masses and only have this control over their members within the specifications of their rules.

 Nice try but no cigar.

Anyways I am done with this. I'm going back to my research and sharing, without reservation, my experiences and ideas in an open manner.

This is in no way a slight at your opinion....[nor sarcastic]

The fellows that build these circuits look at the work they do in open source research as a job!
Its their part ,whether just for learning and teaching others or actually making something useful for around the house [Wife Appeasement Protocol    ..WAP!!  ]

They actually feel a connection to the community through this process its a" feel good" thing...!

President Jimmy Carter had a thing he would do for the less fortunate.. houses for humanity or something like that.

people would donate resources ,material, time ,etc ,etc.

strangers would get together at all different times and sometimes randomly.... sometimes in big pushes ,they would build a job/home.
the end result being a usable workable solution to a homeless or struggling families life.

Some fellows have likened their work here to that model ,an open source project with an end goal
shared by all and built for all..
not for sale,,A work in progress...

every body who actually participates tries to do their share and yes the mindset is always to share!

When a stranger walks into a Jimmy Carter "humanity" house in progress and asks "Wow Free stuff"
The reply usually isn't "yeah take what you need ,we'll deal with it......."

------------
And yes Underwriters laboratories would never get involved with a private matter.
the people who would are the lawyers for the insurance companies that would adjust an injury or  fire claim.

Typically homeowners  policies take issue with payout on Non UL items that caused an "event"
whether at a personal liability level or other ....
Yes the Kit approach worked for the ultralight aircraft industry [would never exist otherwise]

However as we know these days Lawyers are making this world ever safer and safer, pretty soon
our shadows will be liabilities in this Money hungry world, and your home is usually a big asset [target].

And yes this is our problem at "Other" levels and one very big reason to try to be a community!

Many hands make light work..
thx
Chet

Well we agree to disagree. You think what T/T done was ok,and i think he could have shown a bit more respect for another FE resercher. But if we all agreed on everything, the human race wouldnt have progressed very far.

The one thing we can agree on is-Quote:  Anyways I am done with this. I'm going back to my research and sharing, without reservation, my experiences and ideas in an open manner.

I'm sorry but I am very upset ATM. I woke up to my neighbor sitting on his porch dead. He gave up and exposed himself to the elements and passed away last night. This is not a joke.

It is gonna take me a few days to deal with the horror of finding a friend dead. Actually my wife saw him first but I was the one to check on him and found out he was dead.
