" I'll call Rusty "

Needed to wipe the screen after that one Bob.

And if Rusty doesn't know, try Miranda or Alexandra.

In my opinion, he had the best kids show EVER.

Regards...

I just recalculated the 6+ earthquake averages and we are still about 30% above normal this year.

The average week over the last 10 years has had 3.06 6+ earthquakes.
This year we have had an average of 4.36 6+ earthquakes a week.
That is 30% more a week.

Average over last 10 years (in 1 year)
8+       1
7-7.9   13
6-6.9   145

So far this year 14/52 weeks (27% of the year)
8+       1
7-7.9   6
6-6.9   54

Many theories abound as to what the pyramids were used for.  One I find interesting is that they were used as massive speakers.  They would transmit acoustical vibrations into the mantle to jiggle the tectonic boundaries.  This would cause miny quakes all the time.  Imperceptible but quaking.  We are basically living on old Sun scum floating around atop a ball of fire cooling as the ages go along.  Our physical being situation tenous at best.  Chances for civilization to advance beyond repeated dark ages minimized by natural catastrophies.  I guess it best to work on a more enduring state of being and enlightenment but it is kinda rough to contemplate the meaning of life when the workings of life involve your every moment.  To this end I try to take 20 minutes a day just being.  Not doing just being.

I remember reading about 35 years ago, the Rosicrucians wanted to mount a pyramid on a tower at their headquarters in Calif. to mitigate the negative effects of the San Andreas fault nearby.  There haven't been any big quakes in the area since then.

That's a modern use for the pyramid.

I found this good article:

China Earthquake Raises Questions, Concerns

Says the numbers are about average.  Is 30% above average, about average?

You might have a point.  There was a cable news show one morning where the female announcer said that areas of quakes were particularly concentrated in a couple of regions.  I had to leave my apartment for an appointment, so I didn't get to see the report, but that was what she said.
