Moderator, please give TechStuff a final warning then ban.
Cap-Z-ro indicated elsewhere that he has no authority on any thread but his.  He suggested, I believe, to PM hartiberlin himself.  Any Member can.

I ignore religious material from TechStuf nowadays.  I've lived around people like him in the Midwest and Southern States, so I know how they can be regarding their beliefs.  They have a tendency to resist change and/or sometimes challenges in that regard.  I've had it happen to me.

26-MAR-2010 14:52:06     -27.98     -70.71     6.2     35.0     NEAR COAST OF NORTHERN CHILE

That is 20 earthquakes that are at or greater than 6 this month!

I've done some more research on earthquakes.  The average month had 12 earthquakes that are at or greater than 6 from 2000-2009.  There have been 54 earthquakes that are at or greater than 6 so far this year!  There is a 31% increase in 6+ earthquakes per month this year than in 2009.  The average month in 2009 had 13 6+ earthquakes.  So far in 2010 the average month has 19 6+ earthquakes.. 20 so far this month.

I've calculated these using numbers from the following site.
Earthquake Facts and Statistics
http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eqarchives/year/eqstats.php
Earthquake Facts and Statistics Graphs
http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eqarchives/year/graphs.php

Edit:  More facts..
Since 1990 there is an estimated 68 earthquake deaths in the United States.
Since 1990 there is an estimated 803,159 earthquake deaths worldwide.

With respect to your Reply #138,
Another one hit near Manila at 6.0 on the Richter scale.  The Philippines have been hit frequently, right?

They have had a few, but most of the quakes are around Chili.. check out the following link and look at how many are around Chili.. I would say about 80%.

Yes, I see, and the Chilean quakes are all in the range of 35km deep.  I'd call them aftershocks.

There are larger quakes in other areas, but not really much bigger.

Since the axis of earth has shifted somewhat recently you can expect more and bigger ones particularly around the equator and slip /subduction zones. Earth is squeezed like a lemon from both ends. Move that point of squeeze reference and the plated have to shift to correspond with the new belt buckle on her belly.

Its just Earth doing her thing...

Well said.  All we can do is watch and try to get ready for the big shakeups coming...

Well in a lighter view point. What do you intend to do? Run around the street wailing your arms over your head? There is fairly good chance, looking at the map that East Coast USA might be in for a shaking.

So what can you do part from making sure you have supplies not stored in your basement and the ability to live elsewhere (a tent) for a while should your home fall into match sticks.

I would just pull up a chair and light a camp fire myself, what else can you do. Shit does happen and nature does these things. You have to deal with it, fresh start...

It might not be nature.. it could be HAARP.  Even if it is nature.. people need to know so they can prepare.

As I said elsewhere, that's about what I'll do.  Buy more cans of food for starters.  Gallon jugs of water as well.

Nothing I can do, but get ready in the time I have left.  That's what I  have control over, but national and world events are beyond my ability to influence.
