Title: Free energy forest for food production - Veljko Milkovic
Post by: Solomon111 on December 16, 2009, 07:16:57 PM
The suggestion is to go back to the previous kind of nutrition - both for humans and domestic animals. The diet would include fruits of seasonal trees  (chestnut tree, walnut tree, hazel tree, almond tree, apricot tree, oak tree...), along with other trees seeking little attention, but giving healthy fruits. This procedure would restore forest that were brought down.

Trees with edible fruits could be planted on location unapproachable for agricultural mechanisation (river banks, lakes, hillsides with rocky ground, city parks etc.) Since fields have more crops when they are next to the forests, trees should be planted around fields to prevent erosion. Chestnut tree has 200kg of fruit per trunk per year, and it can live up to 500 years. Walnut tree, during its life time gives 4000 kg of fruits - with 1200 kg of fat and 200 kg of proteins, which except hazel and oak tree, can not be matched by any plant.

Intensive food production

Area between fertile trees provides ideal space for planting vegetables in greenhouses with reflecting surfaces (glossy foil or coating) helping faster grow and maturing. Garden bed can be elevated with the use of an appropriate surface.

Picture 1. Greenhouse with reflecting surfaces positioned between trees, from mid-autumn to mid-spring, enabling intensive vegetable production: 1- reflecting foil, 2 direct radiation of the Sun, 3- reflected radiation, 4- reflecting surface decreases emission of heat and light from the greenhouse, 5- elevated garden bed with a surface

GREENHOUSES AND POLYTHENE GREENHOUSES WITH REFLECTING SURFACES

Reflecting surfaces (glossy foils and coats on hard surfaces) are the cheapest energy sources. In addition to radiation of heat, they also reflect light.

For the better growth of the plant, to the green house or polythene green house can be added reflecting surfaces, like in Picture 1. The same principle can be used for growing mushrooms, desalination of sea water or distillation of polluted water.

Picture 1. Greenhouse with reflecting surfaces in winter and summer period. A- direct radiation of the Sun, B- reflected radiation. C- double reflection, 1- base for the plants of the swimming pool with salt water, 2- collecting channels for condensation, 3- lower reflecting surface, 4- upper reflecting surface, 5- glass or plastic surfaces.

Cross section of the greenhouse with reflecting surfaces. D- direct and reflected radiation of the Sun before noon, F- direct and reflecting radiation of the Sun in the afternoon, 5- transparent surfaces (glass, plastic), 3- reflecting surface.

Thermal effect is achieved through less dissipation of heat from the north side because of the placed reflecting surfaces. Insulation is also doubled in the cheapest possible way.

I always have liked the greenhouses.  Most of those self built pvc styles are against building code ( of course they want you to spend money..permit, and all ).

most plants are edible.
though some will cause an upset stomach, if you eat too much at one time.
due to the chemicals in them.

your body can extract carbohydrates from the flowers and leaves.
so at least some of the plant is benefiting you.

for most of mankinds history, it was ordinary leaves and flowers, that mankind ate.

meat was a rarer food.
that was more for flavor.

and of course, none of it was cooked.
cooking damages the chemical structure of the food.
and this damages structure is added to the bodies tissue.
damaging the bodies tissue.

a person who eats only uncooked food,
could expect to live decades longer,
than a person who eats cooked food.

alkanes and glycosides can be dangerous;  I don't think that polystyrene counts as going green.. or most plastics for that matter.

Any greenhouse with solar gain is an advantage in colder climates. It is more that reasonable to grow Mango in a greenhouse in Canada using basic solar gain and aquaculture. A backing wall of dense material and a heat sink with solar hot water heating the floor and walls would keep it cozy all year.

In his book, Veljko Milkovic said: walnut tree gives gor life around 4000kg of fruit. Of which we can gets: fat 1200kg, 200kg proteins. Besides fruits also can be used and the land under the branches of most trees. The space below it provides and intensive vegetable production in greenhouses. For greater efficiency, on greenhouses are added flare reflective surface (aluminum foil, etc.) that enables rapid growth of plants

For this method of food production can be used and city parks, the rivers, islands, rocky and hilly terrain, ineligible for agricultural machinery.

I heard if from a farmer one time, that one half acre of potatoes is enough to feed a family of four for one year.  I just can't see storing them for that long.

In What book?

Indeed, this would be nice to know.

Hi Folks,

The books of Veljko Milkovic are here, at his site:

"Forest for food production" and if you write an e-mail to him, you may reserve an English language copy, soon to be issued.  (milkovic@neobee.net)

For potatoes you could use solar powered heat pumps to transfer cold to the potatoes in summer and continue to grow them while using the heat to grow corn for a longer season.

FACILITY FOR PURIFICATION (DISTILLATION) AND DESALINATION OF SALT WATER AND POLLUTED WATER

THUNDER ENERGY

Areas where electric discharge from the clouds is frequent can be suitable for using the huge energy of a thunder. The principle is based on water heating caused by the resistance of electricity flow, similar to "express-tea pot".

Thunder energy could be used for heating salt or polluted water for distillation (Picture 1.). Electrical discharge caused by thunder lasts for 0.1 seconds with the energy of 1017 ergs, and the thunder is caused by the sudden expansion of the air heated on the temperature of 30,000° C.

During the day, the Sun is heating up the hall (4) and is producing vapour. During the night, when the temperatures are lower, the vapour is condensing, and drops gather in the collection channels (5).

In addition to distillation, similar procedure can be used for utilisation of vapour heat energy for power plants. Thunder energy would transfer to water elevation in impounded lakes through warmed vapour. Principle of a mammoth pump is a simple solution for direct use of water vapour. The use of steam turbines is also a possibility.

Picture 1. Using thunder energy to get clear water: (1) - earthen electrode, (2) - isolated pool with water for distillation, (3) - an electrode with a lightning rod, (4) - water vapour is condensing on the walls of the object and streaming down the channel (5) with distilled water and the safety valve (6) is limiting the pressure in the facility.

lol.

A decent lightening bolt would boil 10,000 liters in an instant...
