Magnet motor allready patented ?

Folks, I accidently found this patent online while I was doing
research on MU metals:

This seems to be a working magnet motor ?

This is a new patent issued December 1, 2009,  good find.
Needs to be studied and tested for sure.

Is the patent based just on an idea, og based on real life experiments? Looks however easy to replicate. I guess that any kind of magnetic material can be used - not only mu-metal.

There are a lot of patents regarding high-efficiency motors, not unrelated to the work that we're doing.  Most of them are expired (from before 1990), while the ones from after 1990 seem to be more focused on practical or engineering applications.
