Rectangular core Halbach electro-magnet. Packing square 3d printed coil forms with ferrite composite epoxy would improve the building process. These coils were designed for levitation bearings:

Mechanical screw

Inserting half a screw thread collar in the core of the diametric tube magnet would permit a turnkey bolt to rotate it half way as it compressed. If the attraction force of the Halbach arrays were greater then the force the 2 diametrics would require to roll over, it might run as a mechanical perpetual motion machine; Only if those forces proved to be unequal!

The moving stator is in the middle consists of 2 halbach arrays back to back. The stationary stators on the ends each have 2 diametric rollers apiece. Rods run through them and  the springs are loaded behind where there is room for them.

Rack and 2 diametric pinon gears.

The 3 tier array closes and the key turns the screw attached to the spring loaded wheel. this wheel stores the compression in the wheel springs. The wheel snaps the rack across the top of the 2 cylinder gears. There's a second rack wheel and two gears on the bottom.

The stator array can turn 90 degrees so the diametric axis is on the perpendicular. A rack and pinion gear could turn the spring compression wheel from that angle. The arrays can be attracted or repelled by facing each other or at 90 degree angles and staggered like the leggo prototype.

This plastic closet lock serves three purposes: One, it clamps the magnet array tight from the sides; Two, it protects the array from collision, and three acts as a frame for attachment. This Halbach array 'H" bridge limit switch oscillator should be ten times Art Porter's GAP COP.

Ampere's law can calculate the correct amount of amperage to equal the magnet strength with the inductance of the coil. A masking coil can double the strength of it's backing magnet with the equal strength amperage. The Halbach coil "Quintuples" it's equivilent strength when energized. Art Porter needs a masking pulse of opposite polarity to neutralize the attraction. The EM Hallbach projects zero field in the plane of attraction when denergized. So we get 5 times the amplified force and the neutralization for free. That adds up to 10 times Art's COP!

I just ordered 13 3/4" N52 cubes from K&M to complete the build. I'm back in Northern California, and the magnets should arrive in a few days. The prototype is a just a ""Quick and Dirty" test job that works fantastic and proof worthy for a major scale up, so here goes!

The dirty 13, finally showed up: These 13 3/4" N52 magnets were half the price from Magnets4less then K&M at around $100.
