A pipe is filled with an incompressible fluid.  We strike the end=cap of the pipe and without hesitation the shockwave is felt at the far end of the pipe.  The pressure is transmitted without having to initiate any flow or current.  Perhaps a domino analogy is better used.  If we strike the first domino all the rest will topple over.  It is not necessary to move the entire row of dominos over to get the last one to move.   The return to groundstate of any excited field is an exothermic process.  If mothernature excites the field and we calm it down over and over again shouldnt we expect some sort of transfer of energy to our clamerdowner system?  Put some pulsed dc of around 36kv over ground directed towards ground and see how cold things start to get inside this field.  If you do this thing right the power transfer is alot more profound than a Jacobs ladder.  The field becomes cold real cold.  All the randomized kinetic energy is going somewhere.  A continous voltage is not going to do this.  The continous voltage attracts charge carriers that will insulate the reaction.  Your field dies a slow death of zeta potentials.
