An estimated 30 million Americans ride horses each year. However, more than 2,300 riders under the age of 25 years are hospitalized annually because of horseback-riding injuries.

The UK figures suggest seven ecstasy-related deaths per million users. This compares to 625 alcohol-related deaths per million drinkers.

Statistically he is correct, but that doesn't mean he is condoning the use of it. The article posted, though, was about marijuana being safer than riding a horse. Which by far it is. Recorded deaths or injuries to date from pot? That would be a big fat 0. None, nadda, zip...

Don't worry guys soon the Codex Alimentarius will also ban all those dangerous foods filled with nutrients. Politics is the best invention mankind has ever made, I'm so proud to be human.

Great article, sort of proves governments like to be selective when it comes to science getting in the way of policy.

I can think of something more dangerous than XTC and horse riding.... give the pills to the horse and jump on  :P

It's good that some of the council are taking a stand and resigning, but I feel this might cause additional problems in the form of government appointed suck-ups filling their empty posts.
