PERPETUAL MOTION ???
« on: May 20, 2008, 02:43:13 PM »
My name is Simon and I have been attending the Asian University of Science and Technology in Thailand for the last 3 years. My father Charles Black has for many years told me and my brother that he has an invention that would solve most of the energy problems in the world and he would build a device to prove the feasibility of the machine. He always called it his ?Perpetual Motion Contraption? and was always secretive about how it would work as he said that many of the world?s inventions were easily copied and stolen and the inventors received nothing for their work. He said he could not even patent it as to do so would reveal the secret of how the device worked.

About my father, Charles Black:
He studied at the Borough Polytechnic which was a day technical training school for boys for 3 and a half years and obtained a First Class Diploma with distinctions. Then he entered the Royal Air Force (RAF) for 2 years and 3 months doing national service. Compulsory 1947 to 1949 and worked in the development engineering department at RAF Henlow. When he was demobbed he worked for H. Sullivan?s Electrical measuring instruments as an instrument maker at the age of 20. He then invented a revolutionary Aquarium Thermostat and patented it. He had a small work shop in his parent?s garage and set about producing and selling them under the name ?Pentagon Products?. He advertised them in the Aquarist (magazine) and worked evenings and weekends to complete the first 2000 which were sold. During this time he was offered a job with De Grave Short, well known Scientific Balance makers, for 2 years. He then opened an Aquarist shop in Forest Hill, London that had a workshop behind. He then went on to make numerous articles which he then patented. It was at this stage that a manufacturer copied one of his inventions without paying him. This was a lesson he never forgot. After 3 years at the Aquarist Shop he sold it and opened a car company with a partner and made a lot of money but still kept his workshop. He then bought a bit of land in Bromley, Kent and built a large house with adjoining garage and workshop which he had loads of engineering tools and machines and set up as a Development Engineer. He sold his share of the car company and concentrated on the things he liked to do which was developing ideas and components for others who could not put their thoughts in to workable, practicable devices. It was at this time he tinkered about with this idea for a machine that would work without outside power. Everyone said that such a machine was an impossible project and it was then that he became very secretive about it and kept this project to himself with the intentions to make it at a later date and he always kept his tools and machinery in storage to enable him to develop it when he had the time. Alas, this was never to be. He had a book written about him that described him as the cleverest man in his field in the Western Hemisphere. He also appeared on UK International Television 22 times as well as numerous Radio interviews and articles in Newspapers too many to name. He is also mentioned on Amazon Books and an article about him on Wikipedia so he is not a crank. It was about this time that he had marital problems and his first wife divorced him. Then when he was traveling on business in Thailand he married a beautiful Thai lady 30 years younger than himself and had 4 children and we all lived in a beautiful 6 bedroom house in Farnborough, Kent with an inside swimming pool and my dad opened the first Thai/English Introduction agency in the UK which was a very successful business for more than 20 years which he ran from home until at the age of 76, he was getting too old to continue with the work load. So in 2004 he sold his house for ? million pounds and sold all his machinery He also sold his company Siam Introductions and moved his wife and 4 children to retire in Thailand. He still fancied setting up a small machine workshop. However, in 2006 he had a heart attack and was in hospital for 2 months. He is now 79, active, in good health and has an active mind.

Recently, with the event of oil reaching 126 dollars a barrel that I said to my dad that now would be a good time to complete your invention. He said that he can?t develop it now.

However I mentioned to him that I have a Professor at the Asian University who has a string of letters after his name who would have a look at it for us. My dad said he would not reveal any details unless the professor signed a confidentially contract.

The professor has seen the plans of this device and in his considered opinion there is no reason that he can see that it would not work. However a machine needs to be developed to explore how much power this device can put out.

My problem is that we may be sitting on a thing that may solve some of this planets energy problems and it may be lost altogether if something is not done about it. Is there anyone that can give me advice to move this invention forward?

My Father has left us with a comfortable income but has not the money or the health to develop this machine himself. Bearing in mind that to patent it would let the ?cat out of the bag? and I don?t want someone from China or elsewhere to steal the idea from us.

Open source it, take the fame in a physics book not in bank roll, which you'll never see anyway because it will be suppressed and you'll either be in a hole or dead after the private bankers find you.

Yes,just publish it open source freely over here and we will
work on it with a simulation and try to build it,
if thesimulation is positive.

Give your father the address of this website,
so he can compare what others have already tried.

Good luck.

Regards,Stefan.

When your dad had his heart attack, chances are the devices that were keeping him alive were patented and that is why they were available to save his life. The medicine he was taking was also patented. Probably 50% of everything around you is patented and helping make his life a little easier. Now if everyone had your fathers opinion on patents, were do you think he would be today?

I myself have my own stories and so many others do also. There is no excuse.

We need more general information on the idea before we could really answer.

1) Can the device be built by anyone in their home.
2) Is the device purely a metal design requiring precision machining.
3) Is the device mostly electronics that requires a special chip that does not exist today.
4) Can only a part of the device be patented or leave out a part that only you will know about.
5) Can the device be encapsulated in epoxy to not show the insides.
6) Do you really want to make a business of this device because it will require a total commitment.

All these questions and more would enable one to make a more educated answer on your question.

But as both above have said, the easiest way is to just publish the device and this will give you the luxury of knowing that he has put his idea out there for the world to use and his name will survive with his idea. These devices are too big for any one man to hold. The powers know this and they know they cannot do anything once it is in the public domain. Anyways, all you will get with a patent is 17 years of major trouble, working out the bugs for the first several years, etc., etc. And in the end, chances are someone else will come along with a newer and better idea that will be 10 times easier and 10 times more powerful. We will soon reach a time when free energy will be available but just as in any other field of activity, the first devices will have short life spans because newer designs will render them quickly obsolete and in their turn become obsolete.

Also, without being crass, there is no advantage in being the richest man in the cemetery.

Thanks for the speedy replies...

I will relay this to my father, and I will get back to you when he makes a decision.

I totally agree with the above answers, it seems that everyone who has an idea wants to patent it and expects to become rich, it also seems that greed is more inportant to the individuals involved rather than saving the planet and releasing their ideas to free energy, how can these "secret inventors" think that they will become mega rich if they dont release their ideas in the first place, just look at Steven Mark, his TPU appeard to work (as far as we think) more than 10 years ago, now the man is ill and at deaths door and it looks like he's selfish enough to take his secrets with him, just whats his problem with informiing us of his secrets, could it be greed? if it is, why is he still waiting for his millions after 10 years and why are we still using oil like theres no end to its supply? and why is he still hooked on to the national grid paying his electric bills?

if you people had an idea to change the worlds energy crisis, then why hold it to your heart for so many years? if it carries on this way we'd all be too old and at deaths door before any of these ideas are ever released.

but in my oppinion, i still think the reason is that the devices simply dont work!

if your father really did have an invention that worked, he would have constructed it in phisical form and you would have seen it working with your own eyes
from what i can gather is just another theory on paper, or even worse in your fathers mind, and its looking like he's planning to take it to his grave too.

sorry to be harsh, but again it all boils down to GREED for money NOT saving the worlds energy needs

G'day siborg,

Can you ask your father why he is too scared to take a chance? As long is he is unwilling to show it it will not make him any money.

Maybe he gets off on the idea to take something valuable with him when he dies.

Open antecedent it, yield the acclaim in a physics book not in coffer roll, which you'll never see anyhow because it will be suppressed and you'll either be in a aperture or asleep afterwards the clandestine bankers acquisition you.

Just a small advice.
If there is any request for money involved to "build" this device, I'd call it a Nigeria letter.....

In the case of free energy, patents have a very bad track record of ever getting a third party to scruteny the claimed device and it's performance.
Open source it.

If you have "it", eternal fame will be connected to your family's name. Important new avenue's and squares in cities around the world will be names after you. You will sell millions of books, and the rights to movies and authorized toys. You will easily get funding (once the word is really out) to start producing more advanced devices onder your own name, lead the market. All while the competition know exactly what you discovered. You will not get the WHOLE pie (prime mistake of those before you), but a single crum of this pie will overwhelm your greatest wishes of wealth and fame.

This community ensure your fame, no doubt.

I wish you wisedom, and good faith in the right people.

Welcome to the forum.

Designs are never positive until built, and sometimes when we have a design that might truly work in our own harts. Scare the hell out of us for it becomes the unknown. Plus the possibility that we may be wrong and that can scare us even more. I have felt these emotions and you just have to choke them up and do what you feel best.
