Healing Hemp Oil
« on: August 16, 2009, 08:33:18 AM »
Healing Hemp Oil works to combat a number of illnesses.

The trouble that most people face when wanting to use this cure is actually getting hold of some to use.

Go here for an in depth description of the treatment and you will see why it is hard to find.

http://phoenixtears.ca/

I think the above website is a good place to start if you are interested in this treatment, and there are many more websites out there.

I have not tried this myself as I would have to manufacture it first and I don't have the facilities, but it does look very good indeed.

Regards, O

Hi oroshay,

Hemp oil may have curative properties (mostly attesting to cancer treatment from what I've seen) but I haven't found much study that supports that use as it (hemp) is restricted or illegal in most countries for a variety of reasons of which medicinal is only one.

I would like to say that the use of solvents like acetone, hexane, and naptha can be replaced by much less potentially toxic high percentage alcohol distillation methods, but that takes more time and leaches out more chlorophyll content from the plant material.

Supercritical gas/liquid extraction (like butane or CO2) under pressure is now being used
for essential oil manufacture and would be MUCH faster/cleaner than solvent distillation methods, but is harder and more expensive to make/buy production equipment for.
Other (industrial) reasons why it will be a hard battle to get hemp decriminalized below.

The stem of the plant makes a great textile or paper fiber.

In fact, the "rag" content term used to describe paper quality came from the fact that "rag men" would go from house to house collecting worn out clothing made from hemp to sell to paper producers in the 1800's and early 1900's. "Rag" referred to the content of hemp material in the paper vs. cotton or other vegetable matter and the higher the rag content, the higher quality the paper was.
It's been theorized that criminalization of hemp was due in large part the William Randoph Hurst owning large portions of forest in the NW US that could use a new (at that time, early 1900's) process to make paper from processed wood fiber (using LOTS of chlorine!) and set up the industrial processing of trees to make paper on which to print his newspaper media empire.
In this he used political influence and had an ally in a highly placed criminal investigation figure in the US that supposedly hated jazz and wanted hemp criminalized because a large percentage of jazz musicians smoked hemp.
Big business won that round as history has proven and the US textile manufacturers went to inferior longevity fabric materials like cotton and "new" synthetics to replace it.

So an annually renewable crop to provide both textiles and paper raw material was replaced by a raw material needing at least 20 years to renew.

The pith inside the stalk has been found to have wonderful insulative properties (the same as corn cob pith), but you can only find fiberglass and polystyrene insulation products.
There is the fact that the synthetic materials are much less susceptible to water absorption and humidity issues, but that's only because there is no research into how to treat the pith to combat that.

Just some grist for the mill.

Please keep furnishing links to other sites about hemp oil (ESPECIALLY any studies by "bona fide" research institutions!).

Hemp oil does not require expensive equipment and is easy to make using butane.  A homemade honey oil extractor is cheap, quick, and easy to build.  There are lots of youtube videos on how to make honey oil.   I use the butane method with an extractor.

You don't need a large quantity of hemp to make honey oil as most say.  An eighth will allow you to fully coat about a dozen papers with the oil, then you can put hemp or tobacco in the paper and smoke it for an intense psychotropic affect.  A few hits is all you need.

Since this will be used for medicinal purposes, then it may be better to add the honey oil to your food recipes, such as homemade bread, brownies, etc.

I'm currently in the process of researching and trying to make a carbon aerogel from the honey oil, which will require alot of hemp for this purpose.  The honey oil is made up of carbon compounds.  Honey oil is good for more than a psychotropic affect!

Hmm thats an interesting method. It is certainly more "green" ;)

In Hawaii, they've got the GOOD weed (maybe the best on average), and they can probably afford to lose a little potency... As i strongly suspect this cold water treatment would not be as efficient as dissolving all THC from buds in a solvent then evaporating out the solvent (like isopropyl alcohol or toluene as suggested in "Run From The Cure"), and not just collecting the little droplets from the outside of the buds as this Hawaiian method does.

Certainly safer and better for the environment, though.

One thing that is very important to note imo, is that when suggesting to a friend or family member to use hemp oil to treat their medical condition is this:

It can be used in parallel with any conventional medical treatment.. Meaning it won't affect the work of other drugs, chemo, radiation or any of the other horrors conventional science uses to treat Cancer (...which actually kill Cancer patients at a higher rate than those who don't use them).

Why this is so important , is that NO ONE can accuse you of "condemning the person to death from quackery" should they still die.

Lol of course should they be cured, the conventional medical community always gets the credit... But who cares, that's not the point ;)

One thing i found fascinating about "Run From The Cure" was that the doctors he talked to all knew about the Study results on cannabis curing cancer. Rick even conjectured that in wealthy & elite circles it may have already been known about and heavily used as a cancer cure.

Who knows... But there is certainly something very strange and suspicious about modern medicine refusing to acknowledge the overwhelming amount of Peer-Reviewed scientific data that has been collected on this subject.

"dissolving all THC from buds in a solvent then evaporating out the solvent"
you mean like using the butane method?
