These are generally pole mounted systems...
« Reply #46 on: September 05, 2009, 06:24:59 PM »
NOTE:
Even of these are mostly tower-mountable systems, they can be installed on shorter poles for less effort and expense.

#7,098,861
Similar to the one immediately below:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=XIN6AAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#2,750,589
Similar to the ones above and below:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=WUhSAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=patent:2750589&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#2,380,333
This one has arc-shaped extensions added to it as a transmitter aerial for directed studio-to-transmitter linked applications:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=9tt9AAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=patent:2380333&as_drrb_ap=q&as_minm_ap=0&as_miny_ap=&as_maxm_ap=0&as_maxy_ap=&as_drrb_is=q&as_minm_is=0&as_miny_is=&as_maxm_is=0&as_maxy_is=&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#2,324,462
Similar to the one immediately above:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=XIN6AAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4#v=onepage&q=&f=false

NOTE
These others will be more general in design that the first four, but will still concern pole mounted systems in for the most part:

#6,921,042
Fig. 2 is a Caduceus coil:
NOTE: Caduceus coils can reduce battery charge times significantly if they're carefully built.

http://www.google.com/patents?id=uekTAAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#5,065,164
Vertical system with loading coils:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=uGYiAAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#4,114,161
Fig. 8 is similar to #2,985,878

http://www.google.com/patents?id=sII8AAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#2,985,878
Alternating counterwound sections of a pole mounted aerial(fig. 4):

http://www.google.com/patents?id=lLVIAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=patent:2985878&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#2,945,227
This system can also be mounted vertically:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=a4hOAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=patent:2945227&as_drrb_ap=q&as_minm_ap=0&as_miny_ap=&as_maxm_ap=0&as_maxy_ap=&as_drrb_is=q&as_minm_is=0&as_miny_is=&as_maxm_is=0&as_maxy_is=&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#1,708,515
This one has a coil inductor in the middle of a horizontal mounted arrangement(can be vertical0:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=NUxLAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=patent:1708515&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#2,941,207
This is important.  I asserted elsewhere in Overunity that this inventive arrangement can simulate a much longer aerial, whether vertically or horizontally mounted:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=tYdyAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=patent:2941207&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#1,967,881
Pole system with loading coils:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=3_tSAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=patent:1967881&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#1,676,240
Fig. 7 is a muliplex arrangement as a transmitter:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=u4V5AAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=patent:1676240&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#1,314,095
Similar to #1,967,881 but with tuned coils.  Fig. 2 has a spark gap---the first I've ever seen on a transmitting system:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=ZTZYAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=patent:1314095&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=&f=false

Hi Jerry,
Yes, I see.  These types of antennae are sometimes used to direct signals from remote TV reporter's trucks to the main transmitting station, I think.

Even more antenna wire systems...
« Reply #54 on: September 15, 2009, 03:11:31 AM »
#6,147,655
This is a combined zigzag and circular system.  Figs. 1 & 4 are the most relevant:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=cw4GAAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#4,381,566
Fig. 3 is directly applicable to this forum.  Several other schematic drawings can be wired in series and enlarged greatly:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=K1UwAAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#3,818,480
Fig. 1 is a symmetrical system rather similar to #4,381,466:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=Ihc3AAAAEBAJ&pg=PA2&dq=loop+aerial&num=50&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#3,345,635
A combined log interval antenna and a cone using a wire to outline the surface of the design:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=m5tsAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=loop+antenna&as_drrb_ap=q&as_minm_ap=0&as_miny_ap=&as_maxm_ap=0&as_maxy_ap=&as_drrb_is=q&as_minm_is=0&as_miny_is=&as_maxm_is=0&as_maxy_is=&num=100&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#2,324,462
Fig. 8 shows a stacked system of circular ring antenna elements that can be greatly enlarged:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=uVheAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=loop+aerial&num=50&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#1,812,695
Figs. 5 & 6 are the most pertinent for this 3-dimensional loop antenna:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=7B9JAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=loop+aerial&num=50&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=&f=false

Rather complicated pilferage detection system like you see at the malls at the entrances of stores:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=ZqcjAAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#4,251,808
Shielded antenna system that can be greatly enlarged with coax cables and used off the ground:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=JzA7AAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4#v=onepage&q=&f=false

More and more antenna wire systems...
« Reply #56 on: September 16, 2009, 07:14:44 PM »
#4,605,899
Similar to #3,939,477 but bigger and wound into a coil:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=l8EvAAAAEBAJ&printsec=abstract&zoom=4#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#4,602,234
Fig. 2 is prior art, but is the easiest to understand:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=CrE8AAAAEBAJ&pg=PA2&dq=antenna+loop&as_drrb_ap=q&as_minm_ap=0&as_miny_ap=&as_maxm_ap=0&as_maxy_ap=&as_drrb_is=q&as_minm_is=0&as_miny_is=&as_maxm_is=0&as_maxy_is=&num=50&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=3#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#3,939,477
Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 have individual antenna elements that are combined---in the patent, they're 'summed'---into one output.
The reader might merely combine the elements and rectify the output as such:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=hPE2AAAAEBAJ&pg=PA2&dq=loop+antenna&as_drrb_ap=q&as_minm_ap=0&as_miny_ap=&as_maxm_ap=0&as_maxy_ap=&as_drrb_is=q&as_minm_is=0&as_miny_is=&as_maxm_is=0&as_maxy_is=&num=100&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=3#v=onepage&q=loop%20antenna&f=false

#3,662,255
Finally, something rare:  Finding buried 'treasure' the same way a security alarm system works:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=R4YvAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA2&dq=antenna+loop&as_drrb_ap=q&as_minm_ap=0&as_miny_ap=&as_maxm_ap=0&as_maxy_ap=&as_drrb_is=q&as_minm_is=0&as_miny_is=&as_maxm_is=0&as_maxy_is=&num=50&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=&f=false

#3,093,827
Direction-finding system on board a ship.  Can be greatly enlarged in size:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=GD5wAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=loop+antenna&as_drrb_ap=q&as_minm_ap=0&as_miny_ap=&as_maxm_ap=0&as_maxy_ap=&as_drrb_is=q&as_minm_is=0&as_miny_is=&as_maxm_is=0&as_maxy_is=&num=100&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=loop%20antenna&f=false

#2,419,577
Simple system that should be enlarged as much as possible:

http://www.google.com/patents?id=v15IAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA1&dq=antenna+loop&as_drrb_ap=q&as_minm_ap=0&as_miny_ap=&as_maxm_ap=0&as_maxy_ap=&as_drrb_is=q&as_minm_is=0&as_miny_is=&as_maxm_is=0&as_maxy_is=&num=50&source=gbs_selected_pages&cad=2#v=onepage&q=antenna%20loop&f=false

There are 5 or 6 of these posts on various forums.  When I have the time to sit through the 67 minute presentation in its entirety, I'll make a more definite opinion.

Up 'til now, what I'm doing, especially with this thread, is giving Members and the curious public all the information I can find for free, because I got it for free.

Enjoy what you see on this thread, especially if you find it helpful.
