Pretty impressive. Even more impressive is the backing by Doerr and KPVC. I dont like the fact they are talking about power companies buying the boxes and distributing power. I thought the point was to get people off the grid? I would love to see a landscape with no overhead transmission lines...

Well, it seems as though the unit could be powered, and produce oxygen ( on mars ).

Then it appears as though it's a non-combustion based fuel cell, it still produces CO2.  Probably less obnoxious than most engines I might imagine, but the price for end-consumers isn't justified.

$2K is the expected price for a residential unit.  As one who burns propane as well as electricity for my home, if it could cut my propane usage by half...Shoot, that is a bargain!!
