I found out tonight from educational tv that honey bees use static electricity to make pollen jump onto their bodies.As their wings beat 230 times a minute the hair on their bodies become charged with static electricity and when they land on a flower the pollen jumps onto their bodies.Since I already mention insect antigravity here I thought I would mention it here.So honeybees have been using static electricity at least a hundred million years.Ever since flowering plants came into being.Triffid

Tornadoes are also supposed to similar things(shoot straw into unbroken window glass!)

To all on this thread I mentioned that I had developed a very hot solar collector about 4 years ago but never patented it.I found out about two weeks ago that someone else took out a patent on it in Oct.1962.So my secret info has been public domain since 1962.It is patent #3,058,394.I taped(I used clear tape) fresnel lenses on top of flat mirrors to focus the sun's energy to a single point.I mention it here now because its been ignored long enough.Triffid

Patent# 3,058,394 states that a 54 inch by 54 inch (flat)square reflector produced about 1000 watts of cooking power.In my case the reflector would be a mirror.Triffid

Can't say I'm surprised.  I did the same thing with my Regeneratively Cooled Ion/Plasma Thruster application.  It had an add-on feature of Edison's linear induction of plasma as part of the 'improvement of prior art', so Edison's work was already in the public domain.  Patent application rejected!

I looked at the patent in question.  It looks straightforward in presentation.  The sub-patent reference to #3,058,394: Patent #4,022,186 looks just as effective.
Adding the satellite mirror deployment device: #3,174,397 might add an improvement to even that.  I like to add Patent features synergistically to come up with greater chances of patentability.

Well, people who do honestly good work and are up-front about giving credit to rightful sources without thought of themselves are often ignored or even attacked for their honesty and intelligence.

I saw it happen in front of me to my former business associate, so I know.

Sometimes it takes a madman to show the world the value of something.Like Hitler did for rockets.I hope extreme solar doesn't have to go the same route.I see these fresnel mirrors tapping into the suns fusion power to power solar powered rockets clear out to saturn(sunlight there is 1/1000 of the earth's).Mars would have plenty of solar power to tap into.No need to spend billions on fusion power when nature is already doing it for free?Triffid
