Found the oscillator scheme to automatically maintain the resonance frequency.
I think we will move forward...

Tank circuit has exponentially decaying waveform, why ? What if tank circuit is completed with second tank, so there would be bifilar wound coil and cap at both ends. You charge one cap and connect it. What kind of waveform is created ? When power is taken from it, it changes inductance of the coils. Normally this would drive system of resonance, it would no longer match drive frequency, and current would begin to flow. But now drive frequency is from the caps themselves so it does not matter if L changes, system would be autoresonant: tank circuit always runs at its own resonant frequency if it allowed to do so. I think caduceous coil would be best for taking the power, but other styles should be tested also.

Could someone do this simple experiment and put results here ?

While the idea is understandable, the resonance frequency of this circuit changes with different loads, so not sure under what conditions this was supposed to maintain the resonance frequency. Where did you find the circuit?

Scheme found through Google.
The idea is exactly  in the fact that when the load changes, it changes the inductance, hence the generator automatically adjusts the resonant frequency with the new parameters

Charge C1, close the switch, what is at output ? To pickup, wind third coil on same core. What is perhaps needed is a way to fill one cap in case it runs empty. For this we could use phase locked loop, fourth coil to sniff out the frequency and use that to guide something that can fill the cap via diode.

Ah ok, that way around. Well then the tricky part would be to tune the circuit as close as possible to the natural resonance frequency of L1 for highest Q.

Thanks for the sim, but this was not what I meant. There needs to be two coils and two caps, one cap is charged to e.g. 9 volts then switch is closed to begin oscillation. Now there is one coil, one cap and one battery. Those two inductors need to be on same core, don't know if this simulator can simulate it correctly.

Idea was that those two coils would speed each other up and prevent self inductance that causes exponential decay of oscillation in normal tank circuit, like in this simulation.

I took one trafo component, put one cap across coils on top and second on bottom. Then I put two switches and cap. Charged cap with one switch, close/open, then closed the second switch. Now it is banging away and voltages do not seem to stop. I must be doing something wrong, do I need to add resistive components to compensate DC resistance in the trafo ? Simulator wanted to have resistance in the cap battery loop.

In order to make your simulations realistic, you always need to include a realistic series resistance with any inductor.

FYI: http://www.falstad.com/circuit/...
You seem to know this Falstad circuit simulator.

Do you know if it can simulate a transformer with 2 primary windings and 1 secondary winding?
BTW: I do not mean 1 centertapped primary winding.
