Offtopic here but I'd like to ask if vodka can still be lit by TC discharge after a few times you burn a little with flame ? Very insteresting  effect.Does it heat vodka ?
Easy Answer
Vodka is 40% Spirytus= Spirit
60% is water

When you put spark into it you interacting with molecules of  water
H2O changes to HHO............. possibly
But  changing temperature if the fluid makes vaporizing of water....... definitely yes.
Now that   fluid is more like Spirytus
Spirytus= Spirit is flammable as belongs to family of alcohols
One of Sirytus sold in Poland is 80% and people still drink it.
Spirytus by name is widely recognized in Europe, I'm not sure but it looks like in USA there is a ban to Spirytus.
I have never see it  in stores ( I'm not drinker so I do not know)
Other possible explanation is that is cheap and strong so Liquor stores will not make  much profit   from other   kind of alcohols. Also  any social event  can not be performed when using Spirytus as  it makes strong  quick influence on human organism.
After that discussion is less of intelligent and more uncontrollable
Social events tradition is to drink, eat drink, eat and still be able to control   self behavior using somebodies more drunk state of mind for ones own benefit such as collection of information for analysis.
Also as a tool (to excuse) and trigger sexual interaction.

Spirytus was traditionally  used in  military ,to clean mechanical contacts of radio communication devices,  in former Soviet  dependent  countries including Poland
The country where vodka is drunken the most is not Poland but it looks like Georgia Europe.

Ok here is something strange to ponder.

Can you find the problem with this setup here?

http://www.teslauniverse.com/nikola-tesla-patents-593,138-electrical-transformer

Look at the first diagram and see where the catch is. Hint check the ground connections where it connects to the Katcher.

WTF Both coils are grounded. This is why our tests have not been working. The catcher needs to have the primary and thew secondary grounded. The primary needs to be grounded halfway through it winding. Read the patent until you pick up all the hints he drops about this setup and others really.

I'm also not a drinker, but I have a friend who is... and who knows where to buy it (at least 80% strong) in the USA. For example, there is a ban in the borders of the City of Chicago. But there is no ban in the suburbs surrounding Chicago... and there is this product in some stores, I know this for sure, I have seen it.

Since I see this thread (at least recently) as a market of ideas, I have a question to you, guys, which I see as this forum's experts: does it make sense the idea described in this document? It's about the TPU and it's only 13 pages:

From discharging the TC into plain water, I sometimes see little explosions that makes me think that Wesley is correct about some dissociation and recombination happening.
The vodka does heat a bit from the coil discharge alone--- there are several amperes of current available there if it's working right -- but the major heat is probably produced by the alcohol flame.

It would seem to me that the flame must be burning off the alcohol in the vodka, so the proportion of alcohol to water must be decreasing. Eventually there must come a point -- I think -- when the vodka is mostly water and can't be lit any more... but I actually never carried out the experiment that far, I always drank the vodka. And it always seemed a bit _stronger_, not weaker to me, but it must be because of the warming.

And I don't have that coil with me here so I can't try the experiment right now....   :-\

(Not really so off topic, I hope.... the last video in that bunch shows tuned coils, hairpin bifilar tuned secondary, tertiary coil powering lights with one wire, using H-bridge circuit at around 2 MHz designed by Groundloop and used for some early experiments by Gotoluc ....)

The high voltage coils use 1 wire and ground to complete circuit there.
Also nobody tried to ground middle point of primary coil - that would be interesting if there are any additional effects to see.

Hi all,
Tesla suggested circuit with center tap primary is nothing special: simply a balanced input connection. I've built many TMTs with different input configurations and I assure you that you can go both balanced or unbalanced without any difference...providing you drive the primary & secondary with correct matched impedance.
The kacher case is equivalent as the primary is connected hot side to transistor collector and the cold side battery (hence low path to GND), secondary is connected to transistor base that is at almost 0V (actually 0.6). Of course transistor emitter is connected to battery minus and in turn to a ground connection. If you take the load from one wire trough the slotted Cu tube than the other wire must be also connected to GND.
As far as now I've tried the focusing method suggested by jbignes5 but I've not found any good results. It is true that working at 1.2  - 1.5MHz it is impossible to wind a folded coil as the coil itself at 1/4 wave is really too, too long (it should be phisically a bobbin). Practically I tried with 80 + 80 turns. Test is in progress.
Same results with bifilar unconnected shield wounded over the bifilar load coil.

A Tesla transformer accumulates standing waves in the secondary. Envision a piece of coax aka wave guide inputting rf with a standing wave ratio of infinity. Not one wave gets out of that piece of coax. The energy supplied to the primary is stored inside the coax. We know that coax is a wave guide. In order to transmit em waves to the radiative element it is tuned to the antennae so that a quarter wavelength or a wavelength of a harmonic of the fundamental frequency employed "stands" on the antennae not in the coax. The current flowing in the antennae mast between nodes and antinodes then propogate perpendicular to the antennae mast in an everexpanding torroidal field of diminishing electromagnetic disruption of space it propogate through.
Anyone who has ever popped finals in a linear knows to avoid sws in the transmission line.
Tesla figured this all out over a hundred years ago. He systematically created a huge piece of coax. Now how does Tesla introduce his power from the scource to the coax?
Study his notes. Study the construction of his primary. Study Crookes' tubes. Study coronal discharge losses on transmission lines when one line is deformed compared to the other. Study the true nature of charge and why the magnetic field about a single charge is in alignment with the electric field about that charge and not when the charge moves. Study what Tesla was going to do with his hemispherical terminal on top of the MT. Study why Tesla combined geometry and algebra in determining capacitance and inductance. Study electron cascade events and see where the energy is coming from to manifest these events. Study how coronal losses can be converted to coronal gain.  Then build a real Tesla transformer.   Power her up.  Turn off the lights.  Tell me what you see on the load cap.  You don't see anything interesting and have to resort to putting pointy pieces of metal near the terminal you haven't got it yet.

After rereading most of the tesla documents on Tesla Universe I came across something of interest that most people do not know.

 Variable capacitance.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multipactor_effect
http://home.earthlink.net/~jimlux/hv/multipact.htm  :)

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/free_energy/message/5971
http://journal.borderlands.com/1988/the-farnsworth-multipactor-tube/
http://www.energeticforum.com/renewable-energy/9927-farnsworth-project.html
read all of them you might thank me
 :) :) :)

just what i have been saying in my pdf
I know this is the way..

And Multipaction effect can be the reason why kapanadze works,
because multipaction effect might work between two HV HF Tesla coils too! :)
[Editor's Note: P.T. Farnsworth III told Eric Dollard that the multipactor tube and the Tesla coil were a marriage made in heaven! TB]   source journal.bordelands.com

in tesla coils  sender is the emmitter     the receiver is the collector.

also if tesla discovered multipaction effect first,  it was said that tesla used only vacuum tubes to generate power for his car.

This would be the alternative to the tesla coils which are big and heavy.
I think as Tesla discovered effect he developed it further to be a smaller device.

it is also interresting to note that Aluminium is a very interresting metal, Tesla was mentioning the same.!

Yes there is plenty to read on Tesla and should avail oneself to reading everything he said in print. It's funny to note that Tesla thinks the electron was mistaken for hydrogen molecule. He also believe that matter in itself was nuetral and only reacted to the field around it. Radioactive matter seemed to reflect this field and looked like it radiated energy from nothing. Obviously he has a point there. Most other matter contains energy because of the field. Like we are finding out from Itsu's experiment that I asked him to do. This field changes the conductive properties of anything within the field and enhances the capacitance element of all matter. I'm thinking the matter swells slightly from the increase of the electric field in the matter.

I agree with a lot of you guys but we should go back and re-educate ourselves to the real ways so we can do this right. Traditional approaches are not cutting it and now we should look to the man who was right on almost everything he predicted and did experimentally. He wasn't just a book worm he had a fundamental understanding of the reality that surrounds us. This is the main reason he was called a wizard. Although he didn't perform magic he knew the real way things operated in the universe.

@ Jbignes5,

Quote
@ itsu I wonder what would happen if you wrapped that coil around a resistor... Would the resistor get energized as well? And finally around a solenoid coil and read the output from the coil. Tesla said to terminate the load with a mass of metal. Thats why you got no results from the other tests.

I did some further experiments like using a resistor (220 Ohm/50W) wrapped with a coil (so an inductively coupled resistor), which managed to put a glow in a paralleled 230V/25W bulb.

Nothing spectacular but it let me work/learn with the physics involved

A (virtual) ground on the open coil end has an ill effect on the performance (slower cap load rate).

A word of warning about the Power supply:

I use 2 12V batteries in series creating 25V, but i have burned up 3 times now a 0.1uF ceramic cap placed over the plus/minus to decouple the RF.
I think these caps are rated 50V, but they go up in flames, so be aware when using a Power Supply.

The capacitors on battery react in same way as capacitors near Tesla coil. So high voltage spikes there too I guess.
Also when you use ferrite please be careful, it is quite easy to cause NMR in it with katcher and field surrounding coils on 90 degrees when you put ferrite in coil on horizontal position inside of grounding choke near vertical Tesla coil.
If you would like to make intentional cause, wind selenoid transformer on ferrite and put HV capacitor with spark gap then connect wire inside of ferrite core over length of selenoid. Then see how transformer consumed current drops when spark gap fires... ;)

Cheers!

 Your link fixed

Ok you have a really nice lab.

With that being said these are some great results.

Ok some things that are apparent with this system. So inductive coupling is the way to go. I know you want to see something happen but stay away from ferrite or iron cores.

The cap across the battery needs to be rated the highest full voltage of the system. I agree with T-1000 when he says the cap is exposed to the katcher field and hence will generate the voltage across it, negating the effect of the cap for isolation. What is the reason for the caps there? Just remember the field is pretty big on the katcher and your batteries are in that field. This should energize the batteries like Bedini did and cause a recharging effect that can last for hours or days even after being exposed.

ok just wanted to see what the outcome would be for the resistor to see if it could be energized.

I am quite surprised that you can induce the charge even on a metal cap. Hmmm very interesting. I would say though the other cap is gonna be the winner! So I can't wait for your arresters to come in the mail!

One other mention of your setup. You might want to try a one turn coil on the primary. Tesla said it was the best way to see this effect or try a simple bifilar coil if you want to try multiple turns. You want the primary free of resistance even inductive resistance. This should increase your output to the max and you should be able to lower the input to safer levels.

While we are waiting for the the parts to come in could you try a metal bar in the coil like copper or aluminum. If that shows effects then my capacitor made with two pieces of copper or aluminum made as a crude capacitor just might work. We know there is aluminum in the caps right?

I will be starting to build this thing so I need to know your exact setup if you could jot it down for me. There is soo much I want to test with this heh and you have been very instrumental in my current research. Thank you for being so kind and generous with your time and help.

One other thing I wanted to ask you Itsu, How are you feeling in the field? Is there any effects that you can feel like ringing of the ears or prickly feeling on your hands and arms? Any feelings of well being or being calm in the field?

After watching the video again I see you have not used the block of copper or aluminum like I asked previously on the other end of the coil around the cap. This should give a balance to the system that is missing atm and you should have different weights of metal to see the different effects of the different sized blocks. You are correct about the bleeder resistor and it is loosing to much power that way. Since you have a spark gap you don't need the resistor across the cap. Unfortunately that isn't an option with that cap.

*edit* Sorry I didn't see your post about the added metal to the other side of the coil. Disregard the comment then... How big was the metal used Itsu? Was it the same size and weight of the copper inner tube? Tesla said the bigger the better.
