Hi ALL,
I have implemented now a new theme selector box at the
left panel at the bottom, so you can select if you want to use
the standard Theme with the transparent background or
if you want to use the much simpler Basic Theme settings.
Some users didn't like the red colored background picture
and now they can choose, what they want to use.
2. I also disabled the signatures, as too many users
abused this feature with their own advertisment
for affilaite programs.
The signature feature will come back when I am going to
introduce the membership feature.

Any progress on the pm issue?
I had posted on another thread, but the whole thread, "Thanks it's fixed" it was removed. Not sure if you saw the post there. Again I see the incoming pm's but neither can reply, nor can compose a new one. Also tried to direct email you but no replies yet.

Okay, sorry, there must be a server issue with the personal mails.

just a note to all,
it took me a while to get the theme selector working, after selecting the different theme with the dropdown list you are shown a small graphic underneath the selector of how it will look. You have to click on that graphic to activate the theme.

The email feature is somehow not working using
the PHP mailer from the server.
I opened up a support ticket at my hoster´s account.
Well, but the Personal Messages are working to fix this issue.
So please use for now the Personal Messages (PM) to communicate between
members and not the email messages.

did you see my PM message to you ?
Why can´t you reply ?
What happens when you try to reply ?
I did not get a message back from you.
I tested it with 2 other accounts and it worked for me.

Stefan, thanks a lot, this is a real improvement.
The original one consumed lots of waste less energy on my laptop.
Besides scrolling down was really slow because of that.
Now I can leave my sunglasses off when reading the forum updates ;)

Ich machs auf Deutsch.
Ganz einfach, ich kann meine PMs zwar lesen aber nicht beantworten weil ich die Nachricht "internet explorer cant establish a connection" oder so in ser Art, erhalte. Dann werde ich von deiner Seite OU.com "geschmissen" und muss wieder auf deine Seite gelangen...
Aber wundere dich nicht. Es passiert jedes Mal wenn ich mich zu sehr "aus dem Fenster lehne" mit meinen Posts. Ist ja schon normal fuer mich.

Hmm, Otto,
benutz mal bitte Firefox 3.0.11.
Damit sollte es gehen.
I just routed the emails now via a different mail
server and tested it all with different mail account.
It is now working nicely.
Please let me know, if you still have problems using
Firefox 3.0.11.
I will now implement the email saving Mod,
so you will be able to save your emailsmuch more easier.

IE hat öfters Probleme und vielleicht sperrst Du da bei ihm die
Cookies ?
Die Cookies müssen eingeschaltet sein...
sonst erkennt das Forum Deinen Account nicht !

What I really like about the basic is I can tell what post were read again (in blue instead of black). It didn't change with the SMF theme.

The issue is still there. I can see the pm's, but can neither reply, nor create new ones.

works all okay,
no problem at all.
Maybe you are having browser problems yourself ?
I am using Firefox 3.0.11
You maybe need to clear your browser cache and
cookies once now.
You also need to have enabled Cookies,
when surfing at overunity.com

Hi Stefan,
Yes cookies cash cleaned and allowed. Even lowered all privacy and security setting to lowest possible. still no success.
I've tried form different pc's and both ie07 and ie06. Still no success. This should be accessible with msft brower. I really shouldn't have to install firefox, as I'm sure many members here use MSie with success.
It lets me post here, but not in the pm section. I can still read the pm's
