Bury the Black !!!

This is just a base plan to give an example of the processes involved and they could be changed in many ways to suit the needs of a particular company, organization, community, or region.

If you like the idea, please point the video out to your local politicians, organizations, and investors. People like yourselves who are especially formiliar with the gasification process would be very good at explaining how the process of gasification could make this type of facility viable to operate in your community.

Having worked with wood gas systems I don't think that it is a good idea to re-introduce that particular technology.

These systems are inefficient and dirty. Not the kind of thing people are looking for these days.

In the case of producing carbon from wood, I don't think the 'dirty' aspect is a consideration since the area will be dirty anyway.

True, but that is only part of the deal. The gasification of charcoal is also a very dirty process and because of the high Nitrogen content results in a very low quality gas.

The idea is to use part of the raw wood which you are using to convert ing bio-char to fuel the heating process so that the use of petro fuels is not needed. The bio-waste is free, therefore the cost to make the bio-char is free other than the cost of equipment and buildings. If it take a little longer to burn the material it will not adversely affect the operation other than wages for the guy watching over the equipment.

The end char is to be buried as a soil conditioner to reduce the use of fertizers will increasing crop yields.

What end char? In all the gasification equipment I have seen the leftovers are very dirty smoke and fly ash. That is why you need filters, usually water filters in stationary equipment or cyclone filters in cars and trucks.

BTW Have you ever worked with one of these things?

You didn't follow the link to watch the video.

I assumed you did. The video will inform you of the facility. The gasifiers are to run a small generator and a heating kiln to take bio-waste and convert it to bio-char. The ratio is about 50-50 from present plants. Burn half to convert half to bio-char. This, I am hoping, is more efficient.

Watch the video link from the starting post. Here it is again.
