I am seeing very unusual results and would like to openly discuss my research. But my company won't let me unless the person signs a NDA. Even then they are a little nervous. I have no one who is qualified enough to give a opinion.

So, you are forewarning the prospective reviewer then, that your company begins with a capital 'C' ?

@ currenthopper,

NDA's are a very touchy thing. They have a tendency to lock you in a mental cage. Since you don't know what you are committing yourself to until after you have signed it is extremely chancy. You are essentially committing yourself to a contract without knowing what the terms are.

Say you have been working on something for years and then someone wants you to evaluate his project. You sign an NDA only to find out the guy is working on something similar to what you have been doing. Years of work down the drain since you have signed yourself away. You can't use your own ideas anymore without winding up in court.

I will not sign an NDA at all for those reasons. Every time you sign an NDA you give up your right to work in that area.
