Hi everybody,

I was wondering what you guys think about this Free Gravity Rolling idea by iacob alex (http://www.geocities.com/iacob_alex)

Do you think it will work?

Can anyone simulate this using WM2D and post here please?

Actually do you think any of his ideas have a chance?

The design picture I am attaching in this post is the one that got my attention the most.

One thing I am wondering too is how will the "gate" stay closed during the rising/ascending/lifting period? some kind of locking mechanical mechanism? If that is possible then I think it just might work. iacob alex do you have an answer for this? anyone else have an answer for this?

Been there done that. It will scotch itself every time. I and at least 3 others I know of, have done something like that with a big fat nothing. Sorry, it just can not get enough weight up to push it through.

.....as a minimized arrangement ( a "wheel" with two opposite spokes , only...or a continuous gravity unbalanced lever/age ), intended to show "self" motion ,at :
     www.geocities.ws/iacob_alex/Some_Drafts/text013.jpg
The "tumbling" of the torque difference on the same side of the fulcrum , is due to "the distant action" of a rigid bar(commuting the long arm on the top...again and again).
The same idea, but with a many spokes design : https://youtu.be/3P2rEh1qQVE
...seems to be unworkable , if we take a look at: https://youtu.be/SA7noI8sHL87

Here is a difference of "motivating " gravity ...or momentum (mass*velocity product ).
