Increasing magnetic fields for magnet motor
« on: February 15, 2009, 02:40:28 AM »
Here is some sketches to spur some thought around the Magnetic Motor Theory.

Again most people will say it is impossible and whomever thinks it is possible is a Crack Pot - But I can show you the raw prototype that makes you think twice.

How do we get the wheel running from the North Pole to the South Pole on increasing magnetic fields to reverse itself at the bottom and allow it to continue without any assistance or breaking point.

Below is the link to download the sketches. There are 4 .png files inside the zip file. They are high resolution sketches and you will need to zoom into specific areas on the drawings to see the writing. The zip file is 5.2MB in size. I will show 4 small thumbnail pics below also.

I made the thumbnails larger for those who don't want to download the higher resolution pics in the zip file.

Nobody responded to this?  ???

Were you able to ever test this? This seems like a very important question: Will this work?

I would probably suggest making the ascending magnets static and the middle armature movable instead simply because it would take more force to move the whole magnet configuration than it would a lightweight revolving middle armature.

Oh wait, I see you got that in thumb3.

it seems similar to using uniform strength magnets at increasing distances, but that might be the key to it

the only thing i can think of, you have two transitions from big to small, would that make 2 "sticky" spots?

i wonder if it might have less friction with only one transition, or possibly stagger them so while one is going through, the other is on track and vice versa for the latter

i like how the magnets create a unified distance from the runner, hopefully the larger magnet will kick it through it

HELP,,,,this,,,,http://tinyurl.com/bg9ece,,,,keeps sending me to a coin buying site.
Really would like to see details.
Looking for a new project to start on,,,this MIGHT be it.

GB,,can you send the zip file to my email,,,joesmith@cvctx.com? or some other way????????

also,I will not miss-lead you.IF
I do not want to try building it,,Then I will state this.

I uploaded the images to this forum.  I had to scale them down slightly and had to make two separate uploads due to the 5mb file restriction size imposed by this site.  If you have problems with the below links, then please send me a PM and I will e-mail them to you.

increasingField02.zip,  http://www.overunity.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=downfile&id=386

I've been thinking about giving this build a try also.

[Edit:]  Reply #14 of this thread has larger thumbnails that could give you a better idea for the build process while you wait for the files to be sent via e-mail if the above links don't work, http://www.overunity.com/index.php?topic=9139.msg240745#msg240745

Gravityblock,,,

I will try to replicate the Ring.
I got a very good start on my Magnet Maker,,,this is from  Magnet Magnetizer by David L Gingery,,clear plans, simple schematic, plus I have all the materials to wind the coils,One of the two alike is   halfway finished,,,he ask for cold roll iron,I will used laminate, the grain oriented, silicone steel type.
I am asking myself how I can cut a 4 X 8 chunk of laminate into a a 4 X 8 circular coil core,
He uses 18 gauge magnet wire,,I have 17,,mine is bigger.

The Geek group recently posted a video,,,blowing stuff up,,I
have quite a few electrolytic capacitors,,big uns,I want to follow their basic set up.

I also have a Fluke type Gauss Meter.2065783_A_w.pdf (application/pdf Object),,It will have a new battery and all the sensitivity I can coax out of this thing.

GB,
I will follow your layout for the ring, after I have built the magnets,,,I think the trick might be to have magnets in ascending, descending order of magnitude.

I am looking at a week, earliest,,,two weeks most.
We shall see.

Had almost finished one of the two coils needed, when I realized my coil form was to small. Will have start from scratch with Magnet Maker.
GB,,the spokes,,,,can they carry a linier actuator?,,to move the two end magnets?
Thanks,,still pondering your entire concept.I quoted you below
============ = = = = = = = = = ==========
How do we get the wheel running from the North Pole to the South Pole on increasing magnetic fields to reverse itself at the bottom and allow it to continue without any assistance or breaking point.
END QUOTE can you give me this again perhaps in different words??
I should add,,although I stay logged in all the time (98%) I
visit this site usually 4-5 times a week.I just dont spend that
much time on the computer anymore(summertime perhaps?)

winding #17 Magnet Wire ain't really a piece of cake.I have seen #14 used in HOUSE wiring.

Comeing along with the magnet maker,,it will be heavy, copper around 60 lbs and steel core possibly 100lb,stayed with origional concept of book describing the building and operatin (on time 3 secound).
Two very heavy spools of copper with silicone steel laminate for
core. One spool almost finished, shooting for 22 layers of 46 turns
whicjh will give me 1012 turns.
The schematic had called for 1600 turns with #18,,I have a lot of #17,,slightly larger, also I will be have quite a few 'square inches if core,,,so I need to do some math, which I am slow and not very good at,would be good if someone who is, might help me later when I will need to know this.

GB you will be the FIRST person I will send free magnets to.
