Been cleaning out the garage...

Found this 10 Amp secondary transformer...

Might find something to do with that someday...

AHA! A signal generator! First time I've seen a separate signal generator used in a power inverter. It might take a brute of a signal generator to drive that relay.

Take care.... If the relay isn't always changing states it will fry and probably burn the transformer too  :o

Howdy,

The signal generator is separate because I want to use my PIC 18F252 'sperimenter board for testing.  It has a preamplified IRFZ44 to drive the relay (no worries).  Later when I get the buggers worked out I'll replace it with a set frequency signal source, but I want to play with it a whole lot first.

Notice there is a separate switch for the power going to the relay switches.  This is because it takes to PIC a couple seconds to boot.  So first turn on the signal source and then turn on the inverter power.  Using the PIC as a timer allows me to programmatically alter to frequency of the relay, and I have a range of ~30 Hertz to ~500 Hertz to play with (frequencies that the iron transformer will respond to).  So I could program a sequence of frequencies, say simple music, and have my inverter entertain me...
