...or  Swinging Atwood's Machine vs. Milkovic's  patents(Two-Stage Mechanical Oscillator-pendulum lever system/Mechanical Hammer with a Pendulum...and many others), shows us that if we can catch in our mind "a golden fish"(as I said some time ago in one topic of this forum...),and we have a fancy for it...a fairy tale ,sometimes enter in the real life.

      Milkovic,in my opinion ,maybe knows SAM,maybe not...but anyway,made a genuine,simplified and practical design of an old scheme.

      Long time ago,Atwood imagined the most simple lab-arrangement to demonstrate and measure "g".:pulley,string ,two quasi-equal masses.

      Later,somebody attached one more pulley  and...played pendulum motion,on the string.

      The same game,Milkovic saw,or imagined in a plainly way: with a lever.
 
      Mathematics says about SAM ,that it can be  a "doorway" into the  non-linear dynamics

      Possibly that Milkovic made with his inventions the first step. relate to this new physical world for us...who knows?!

      As you can see,the life is so simple:all that we need ,is that "first line",the key to develop an interesting idea,viewpoint,belief,flight of fancy in your own manner.
