There is no large scale chaos observable in the universe. Yes, chaos does occur on a small scale until order is re-established, but by all observation chaotic states do NOT persist.

The idea that the universe was created by introducing order into chaos is ad absurdum per se. It is a religious idea.

No argument there. Chaotic behaviour doesn't have to persist to have a profound effect. The whole premise of applied fractal mathematics, is that a scaling effect occurs throughout the universe, whereby, as postulated in that one - liner "a butterfly flaps it's wings in the amazon jungle and causes a cyclone on the other side of the world."

It is a religious idea that order was imposed or introduced upon the chaos.

I'm an Atheist.

It is a quantum idea, that order as we currently know it, evolved due to a degree of chaos moments after the "supposed" big bang.
In the absence of that momentary chaos, a different sort of order would possibly exist, but not likely the order we currently observe, which is ostensibly mostly space occupied by low densities of solid matter (interstellar space), interpersed with regular "clumps" of densely packed matter (galaxies)

Since I don't believe in the Big Bang theory (invented by a Catholic Priest as an acceptable explanation for science apologists who needed to hang on to their faith, but still embrace science), its all moot point to me really !
But I do think order isn't everthing it's cracked up to be!  A little dis-order can be fun  :D

Cheers

I am also in agreement that racist views like the thread topic " Are the Israelis serial killers and psychopaths?", have no place here.

I agree.

I am also in agreement that racist views like the thread topic " Are the Israelis serial killers and psychopaths?", have no place here.

Having said that, such provocative threads and inflammatory postings can easily be countered and diffused with rational reasoning.

Also there is the intentional baiting and sweeping generalized insults, cryptically directed at specific members...to me that is a far more serious problem.

Hi Cap,

I also have reservations on the "Are the Israelis serial killers and psychopaths?" http://www.overunity.com/index.php?topic=6476.0  by brian334 this subject was started on January 05, 2009 with 74 reply's and 1028 views on a "Science" forum web site I have sent a PM to Stefan with my concerns and any other member please PM him also.

This type of stuff is confusing at "OU" for example your subject "The Lloyd Tanner Heater..Nearly A Closed Loop"  http://www.overunity.com/index.php?topic=5679.0  this subject was started on October 1, 2008 with 19 reply's and 1,249 views the last reply was on November 10, 2008 basically a dead subject now ..... sorry dude.

But I started a subject almost at the same time at http://www.energeticforum.com/ because I saw your first "Fueless Friction Heater Manufacturer Found" http://www.overunity.com/index.php?topic=5275.0 and was surfing the web trying to find out more information on this concept for heating and saw the same thing as you did it appears "Lloyd Tanners " video ... I posted it somewhere else not knowing your post existed here at "OU" ..... to many news subjects drowned out the science.

What's weird is the "EXACT" same subject "Friction Steam Boiler" you posted I posted days apart , but ...... http://www.energeticforum.com/renewable-energy/2835-friction-steam-boiler.html has 219 reply's and 12,934 view  :o with prototypes being made photos and drawings available, which is really great stuff.

WTF happened ......... a worthy device with fantastic possibility's including maybe self running supplying steam for heat and power generation being turned into a dead thread here at "OverUnity" and a subject "Are the Israelis serial killers and psychopaths?" has the reply's and views it has  ???  Am I missing something here ???

Regards,
Fuzzy

I believe there may be another explanation for the varying thread lengths fuzzy...its just that you can discuss those inventions just so far...and unless someone is building, the end of the thread occurs faster that the the thread in question, which can have many twists and turns...ergo translating into a longer thread life.

But, my glass may also be half rosey. :)
