Four Rotor Bedini Motor

Hi,Here are some details off my Four Rotor Bedini Motor.This is a 4 rotor Bedini motor using 3 slave coils and 1 master coil.Both pole's off the coils are utilised.Two rotors have north facing magnets and two have south.This arrangement has the benefit off 2 power pulses per rotor.The rotors run in sync and spins really fast but i want to tune it before i start taking readings.I am quite excited with this project and can see other directions and mods that can be made but i thought i would show you what i have up to now.

A most fascinating set up.

There are a couple of issues: John Bedini specifies using north poles towards the
coil, and he also specifies ferrite magnets rather than the Neos that you appear
to be using.

But what power figures are you getting?

Hi PauL-R.
John Bedini  favours using the north pole but i am using both pole's off the coil,the south pole is usually wasted but to take advantage off this you have to have a north rotor and a south rotor.
Regarding the magnets,i used neo's because thats all i had 16 off but they seem to work quite good but i would like to  compare their performance with similar similar sized ferrites.
As regards to your question about power all i can tell you at the moment is the run battery was 12.75v and i have had it running on 80mA  but i will try to do more tests and tune the motor later this week.

In the vid I noticed a strobe effect on the orange discs due to your camera frame rate. I was very interested to see the those orange discs weren´t phase locked, they were very close in RPM but the strobe spin on one was slightly faster than the other, which leads me to think you may have some chaotic relationships going on between rotors.

If you want to observe the synch relations realtime in an easy  manner then have a LED(use resistor to protect it) pulsed off the master coil then illuminate your whole rig with that LED with the room lights off.

Hi Yucca,Thanks for your kind comment.The master coil is between the two orange rotors .I see what you mean about the strobe effect.I made two video's off the motor.I have looked at the other one and the strobe effect is in sync and this video also shows them winding down.This is the video i intended to post but the image is slightly darker than the vid i posted.I have also had my analogue ampmeter connected and the needle is steady which means the two orange rotors are triggering at the same time.If you like i can post that video,let me know.
P.S  I don't know if you have seen my other video' but here's one off a twin rotor Bedini DC Hybrid which shows the strobe effect very clearly.This is the same master coil and rotors used in this motor.

What about the battery to be charged? Do you have any data yet? It is a terrific development.

Hi Paul.The charge battery was a 24v lead acid.Its start voltage was 20.3v and after was 23.7v
This was over a period off a few hours but i was stopping and starting the motor doing adjustments so not a continous run .I measured the voltage next day and it was at 22.5v.I do not know how the charge battery holds up under load  but it was interesting that it charged a 24v battery.I have always used equivelent or smaller batterys as the charge battery.Hope this helps.
