Title: Carbon dioxide as an energy source?
Post by: go_abstract on October 07, 2005, 07:42:49 AM
Has anybody ever tried using co2 as a propellant gas to run a turbine? Probably not practical as a permanent source for power, but on a temporary basis, maybe. It's inert and the byproduct would be ice crystals which would cool or freeze the bearing and shaft of the turbine thus providing lower friction on the moving surfaces.
