SPARK PLUG FOR WATER AS FUEL
« on: July 09, 2008, 01:19:00 AM »
I did not want to pollute to much the water thread with that but its as important as the other thread in my opinon!

So if we can find the best plug for the water plasma explosion we will able to increase the plasma spark.

After looking at different site and wiki, the firestorm seam to be the best but as all of you know they are not available!!

Right right the best plug I see so far is the Pulstar plug.

Here the site about the plug:
http://peswiki.com/index.php/Directory:Pulstar_Pulse_Plug

Where you can by them:
USA coupon code 10% off (PES): http://www.pulstarplug.com/howtobuy.cfm
CAN coupon code 5% off (SPARKY): http://www.clubplug.net/canada/index.html

Video made by peoples that have increased there fuel mileage by 50%!! Also in this video they have visited Pulstar plug inventor
and explain and show more stuffs about the plug.

http://www.xpeditionstv.com/7/index.html

Please post if you have any experience with this plug or other plug that could fit in the water fuel experiment.

Or This Plug
http://e3sparkplugs.com/

There was other plug posted in overunity that I can not find that seem better. I will see if I can hunt it down. It did not have a tab at all but used the outer ring.

Yes both of this spark plug looks similar, someone should have one of them for the water as fuel test.

I am thinking of buying 4 pulstar plugs soon, I just make sure I see all others possibilities.

I asked to pulstar if they can handle the 120/240VAC since they are some kind of circuit in it, they say yes.

After hours of digging thru the shop today I found one of the old Mercury Marine plugs that were used with the Thunderbolt ignition. Unfortunately the tip was broken off. BUT I was able to cross it to a Champion plug that is still in production. I ordered one. I'll have it early tomorrow am to see if it is the same. Just a side note. The old Mercury Thunderbolt coil put out roughly 50000 volts. At Mercury service school years ago they demonstrated this plug and coil combination firing completely submerged in a bucket of oil. I would think with the proper circuit modifications this would help towards our goal here.

From the wiki page

Quote
Pulse plugs take advantage of the charge / discharge cycle by storing energy on the voltage rise into its capacitor and releasing it very quickly when the breakdown of the gap happens. Instead of a typical spark that has 25kv and .05amps, the pulse plug can, for around 2 microseconds, put 50 amps across the gap. Since the gaps are usually the same as or less than your normal spark plug, and timing is unaffected since the spark voltage and length do not change.

Its sound like they should work for water as fuel, they output 50A!, I will order 4 plugs for my car and test one on my test setup with normal voltage with water.

For starters, Watts are a unit of power. Power is an instantaneous measurment (Power = Volts * Amperes). Energy is measured in Joules (Jouiles = Power * Time).

Spark Plug
50Watts * 30*10^(-3)Seconds = 1.5 Joules

Pulse Plug
1000000Watts * 2*10^(-9)Seconds = 0.002 Joules

I hate it when marketing folk screw with scientific terminology

This is where you may get a better  MPG and higher performance.

I believe that a plug with a lot more power or "fire" will increase the mileage.  The reason is I have read that since fuel is in liquid state. all the fuel doesnt burn while producing the power, only the "outside" of the droplet, the rest burns as it goes out the exhaust valve.  If you can vaporize the fuel, you will get a lot better mileage.  I believe do to 1. the expansion of a gas vs. liquid and as we know fumes can ignite way faster then liquid fuel.  A good example is an entire house full of natural gas fumes that will explode as soon as it gets close to a spark.  The only problem is gasoline is very hard to vaporize because of all the crap in it.
This is supposed to be the secret behind those 200 mpg carburetors of the past, the gasoline in those days was much purer and was able to be vaporized much more easily and completely.  Now, vaporized alcohol is easily done and of course vaporized water too, if we can get that water to burn (explode or whatever the secret is to make it work :)  )

I've used that plug before in a racing go-kart motor.  They sell it at walmart with the lawn mower parts.  I'll see if i can dig up the part number.

Here is the plug I have been looking for. Champion 827M L76v. My cost on 4 was around $4. I think they retail around $7 or the set. As I wait for my new diodes I am spending the next couple days rebuilding my HHO cell after an unfortunate accident involving a 16 cylinder Detroit diesel falling off the forklift onto the box my cell was in. When I get my circuit parts I will post my test results with this spark plug.

I believe the resistor that is in most plugs will be a problem!!!!! Lawn equipment plugs do not usually have a resistor in them and should work much better for these experiments?

If this type of spark plugs are in the market, then the government must accept the Japanese Car that runs on water or Hydrogen (HHO) only to be on the market of USA, please make this forum to be a change to protect the environment, lets have a clean and green power to have it in the USA market. Thanks.

Just putting this information out there I have replaced my standard plugs with pulsestar plugs and they are by far some of the best I have used. They have an integrated capacitive element so I do not know if you can easily remove the resistor like standard plugs.

But I want to order more and build that circuit like gotuluc
