Title: Moving OverUnity forum to a new server cluster with caching..
Post by: hartiberlin on June 23, 2008, 05:37:33 PM
Hi All,
I have to move my domain to a new
server cluster, where caching is installed,
so OverUnity.com might not be available
for the next 24 hours due to new DNS IP numbers.

Regards, Stefan.

Whatever else you do, you need to deal with the fact that any bandwidth issues
have to do with the 200:1 signal to noise ratio, i.e. to get 1k of useful text, we will
be downloading 200k of stuff, all of which contributes to your and our problems.
Paul.

Thanks Stefan, hope the new hosting turns out well!

All, if you happen to read this post before the change occurs, you may also want to keep in mind that the overunity.com IP address might be cached on your computer.

If in the short term you are unable to reach the site, you can see about clearing the DNS cache on your computer and trying to reach the site again. Of course, if you don't know yet how to do this, a quick Internet search should provide help.
