SDSI Hydrogen Generation System, uses no electricity
« on: September 06, 2005, 09:58:09 AM »
Greetings Fellow Researchers,

Michael Harney, owner of the company Signal Display in Utah, USA has has spent the last 4 years developing a method to produce hydrogen using no electricity.  He has graciously put all details of the design and applications on his website for the world to see in hopes that someone can make use of it.  Many thanks go out to Michael for this.  I will be posting this message on various alternative energy groups to get the word out about this method.  Please spread the word also.

For complete details on this method go to this webpage http://www.signaldisplay.com/hydrogen.html  and click the link "SDSI H2 Design" to download the file H2design.zip

Michael is a good hearted and honest man, and he has worked hard to develop this method.

Good Journey,
Jesse Small of USA

Had a quick look at it.
It is basically a method to produce H2 gas from the reaction of alufoil with NaOH or citric acid.
The AL + NaOH method is already long known and has the disadvantage to produce aluminium hydroxid
which has to be recycled. So it is not very efficient.

The other method of using citric acid is a bit confusing.
Should this be just an electrolyis with normal DC current or what ?

Regards, Stefan.

Stefan,

This is a good question that you have.  Honestly I dont know the answer to your question about DC current for this method.  It would probably be best to email Michael Harney direct and ask him.  If you decide that you may want to contat him, his email address is listed at his website www.signaldisplay.com.

Cordially,
Jesse
